You won't get unemployment benefits, they plan to fight for denial.

Read the 3rd or 4th paragraph on the Separation doc.
"WHEREAS, Employee and the Company mutually desire to terminate Employee's employment on an amicable basis"...

That's a giant lie, nothing mutual or amicable. We were fired against our will. If yous have to collect unemployment that phrase will make it impossible.

In my state, unemployment did not consider severance when regarding eligibility.

I asked specifically instead of hoping to 'slip by' and then worrying about it every week.

However, if you on payroll say through the end of August, then unemployment would not start until you were OFF of payroll like September 1st.

Severance did not matter, but payroll did.

Your mileage may vary.
