Daxas Did Not get final approval by the FDA. It also does not appear that they are requesting any more information from Forest. So, it seems, that this is the final decision.
It will be itneresting to see if Forest bails on daxas or does try to get a narrower indication at a much later date.

Did you actually read the article you linked...or just the first paragraph?

Davis recommended buying Forest shares ahead of the Daxas decision in anticipation that the FDA would ask for more time to complete its review without ordering a costly new study that would likely lead Forest to abandon development of the drug. He estimated Daxas sales may reach $510 million in 2016.

No additional patient trials were requested by the agency, Forest said in the statement.

Mr Karma is sweet - What a cruel person you are. I have COPD and there is hardly anything out there for people with COPD. I hope karma catches up to you someday. That will be sweet to me and millions who have been waiting for years for this drug. I know several people who were part of the trial for DAXAS and it improved their breathing quite a bit.

I wonder how many of the people who committed/attempted suicide was due to no longer having access to DAXAS rather than due to DAXAS? From what I understand, these suicides took place months after the trial ended not during the trial.

old news, buddy. Get with the program, Daxas WILL be approved, just not yet. Layoffs may or may not start around April 2012 so put your application into Walmart. There's a new one that just opened by my house and they are looking for assistant deli manager....

2012? Are you a nutcase? I was told last week by 3 managers out east that reductions will be rolled out by end of June! They have been working reps out in small increments for months now, firing them in small groups to avoid the legal seperation notices and severance paks that would be required by state law. Forest is excellent at firing reps for made up reasons and popularity contests. They are smarter than you think, layoffs are happening now formal downsize yet to come this summer, trust me, i dont bs about job loss. we all have families. open your eyes the writing is on the wall in paint.

Wow, you are off by about 2 years. Layoffs are coming by end of Q3 2010. Ask someone from the inside, not a rep or a kool aid gulper. Reps have been getting fired and demoted and eventually worked out by end of the summer. Frx fires in small groups to avoid sev. and state Warn Act notices and implications with investors. Believe what you want young one, reality carries a stiff bite.

Of course NOT, the only people who read this site are managers trying to pin point who posts and what the real vibe is from the field. On occasion, attorneys will view this and whistleblower org's. A lot of the posts on here are from the little managers trying to defend their jobs and blame reps for their shortcomings.
