Hearing JJ and Janssen are finally waking up...

Those personality tests had some managers seeking the "highly competitive" types.

Now those "sales animals" are turning out to be some of the worse choices for hires. Knocking over and turning off the docs? Not the way to go...

Back to looking at resumes ....track record, experience, territory knowledge, results....

Do you think sanity just might be returning to the field?

JnJ getting wise? That would include ZS Associates telling them what to do. Piss poor management being shown the door? Where and when may I ask? Have you examined who they are hiring from the outside? It was because there was no confidence by senior management that the current internal talent pool was actually talented. This is a series of unfortunate events. The walls have been overrun and the company is now saturated with poison. Everyone knows the only good hires have been over the last two years. So in the finality of it all, your assumption is incorrect as there is nobody left here with a clear mind to chart the course out of this disaster.

Marti, Fabs, and Dunks and the rest of the unethical crew sent over from the Ripserdal posse believed not in "Winning as One," but "Winning at all costs." They cheat, are dishonest, and bend the rules. They drove out some great tenured reps, claiming that they "couldn't close" or "rested on their laurels," i.e., got old and were smart enough to see through management's cloud of mischief. My manager, who is actually a pretty good guy, told me that several more respected reps are being targeted for termination in the next few months, and that by summers end the message will be clear: You veer from our methodology, and you are a goner.

Watch your back, and never trust any of them. If this were a sinking ship, our "leadership" would be pushing all the elderly, women, children and disabled aside to jump into the lifeboats to save themselves. Give me one example of a true leader here. MH? PD? DF? Not one of them would look out for the concerns of others. Selfishness reigns, integrity is a thing of the past. You can have them. Good luck.

And then you woke up.
I agree with Marti and her team: You don't get anywhere in sales being a nice guy. You get the sales by telling the docs what they don't know: That our drugs are better than the other guys. Humira is a terrible drug. Enbrel doesn't work. But what does work? Remicade. Simponi. Stelara. I need those next ten patients, doc. So do you. If you really care about your patients. And those ones you think are mild? Think again. Any patient who has this disease thinks they have a severe disease. So give them a drug for a severe disease. That's Remicade, doc. Until it goes off patent. Then it's whatever we have next. Biosimilar? Hey, you can put a Mercedes pendant on a Hundai but try convincing our friends at the country club we have a Mercedes. Ain't going to happen doc. So stay away from those generics. They don't work. They fooled the FDA panel just like Enbrel and Humira and Entyvio and all those other fakes.
Doc, next week I'm bringing in my RBD, Did you hear that, Doc? The guy is an RBD, a top level executive at our company. He'll teach you medicine, doc. Knows his stuff and can get the J&J bigwigs on his cell phone in a sec. Power guy, doc. Just like Remicade. Power drug. You need them both, doc. So get that prescription pad out and start writing with both hands. NOW, doc.

So now you see how it is done. And that's why YOU'RE done. You can't sell the way selling is supposed to be done. You can't hack it. And that's why your friends are gone and you will be gone soon too. This is the way of the future, the way Marti and the NSDs see it. True visionaries. That's why they call them the Fabs and the Dunks. Because they are.

Bye bye. Maybe you can work for a non-profit. I hear they're hiring "nice guys" these days.

to post #3. I agree with you however Duncan was never really part of the Risp. mess and he is actually a very honest and well intentioned person. Fabs and Marti however need to be shown the door.

The only good thing about Marti and Fabs is how easy it is too play them. It's good to have dumb egomaniacs in management. The GI team plays the "Fabulous Fabs" like a fiddle, and we have a blast doing it!

You mean the cartoon versions, right? I looked at them and you are so right!
You might want to hear what my team and I call our NSD: The Fabboon!

The Fabboon? Ugh. There's nothing more unattractive than a man who makes a six figure salary but can't find a suit that fits him. Did you see him at the President Club awards? His pants were dragging on the floor underneath his heels and his suit jacket sleeves went down to his knuckles. I have photos, people!
If you can't dress for success,
then let the next.

It is a rare doctor who will permit any rep or sales monkey to tell him or her how to practice. I will always take the strong resume above any test. Results in the past mean results in the future.

Face it, JnJ gets their managers from industry garage sales. These losers can't get or keep jobs anywhere else. Look at the few managers that have left. They don't last. They don't have game. Now look at the great reps. Many never won the fabricated P Club BS awards but run their territories like pros. When they leave they thrive. Do yourself a favor. Leave. Unless you are one of the many posers here. In that case stay with the other losers.

Hey dude, my name is Ed G and my boss Pete told me I'm going to have his regional director job one day when he becomes VP. So I'm not going anywhere, dude. I even won a P club once.

Regional directors are no prizes either. MM is a disaster in GI.

Managers in this place are so dirty there is no saving it. HR is in on it as well. If you do not believe me just try to go to them with a manager issue and see just how fast you get fired. It is a despicable situation and an embarrassment to the American culture. Them with a manager issue and see just how fast you get fired. It is a despicable situation and an embarrassment to the American Culture. Wasn't AG a veteran? What a joke.

Document, document, document. Retaliation $$$$.

Yes, you can do that, but here's the problem. Say they fire you tomorrow. You get a lawyer, present them with piles of documented proof, but the company says, tough. Take us to court.
THey have their own lawyers on payroll. They keep you tied up in court for years. You're under a gag order so you can't even get the press involved. They begin delving into every little bit or your life, sending investigators to places in your social life and questioning people in a way that makes everyone think you are being investigated for something terrible. For example, the investigators asked my friend's neighbors and social contacts if they had ever known him to enjoy or speak about child porn, even though there were no allegations of anything sexual at all about the case. They asked if they knew if my friend was prone to drug and alcohol addiction an frequenting prostitutes. In short, they were making sure that my friend was going to be so scared to peruse a case, and he was. He withdrew his case of harassment and age discrimination despite the mountain of evidence. His reputation was worth more to him than dollars.
The irony is that the management team: From the director on down, are all big porn guys who will text and email the most disgusting of porn back and forth right in the middle of meetings. One of the managers likes to text photos of his genitals from the rest room. The director thinks this is a hoot.

Don't bother documenting. Go find another job.

I agree. Take 6 months of Short term disability to find something else. Remember nobody retires here so pension and shit is a mirage. Bad people hurt that love to hurt good people for the fun of. Lots of race issues on all sides. An implosion is certain to be soon and bad. Leave and be glad you are gone.
