No Left Overs or desserts going home!

The new disclaimer before all speaker programs; Excuse me, Excuse me, Could I please have your attention? Before we begin this highly technical discussion about ________ I must inform you that no longer will you be able to take home your left over steak or the dessert you were too full to eat. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but this is now company policy. Can you believe this? I'm sure we will tick off at least half of the few remaining physicians that actually attend programs anymore. Why even bother.

Are you kidding me? Like we have any control over this, we might as well not do programs anymore anyway now for sure!!! Who's bright idea was this at corporate. Are you kidding me, really? Come on

Seriously? You must be joking. Not even the overly careful legal staff's interpretations of the laws regarding pharmaceutical promotion could come up with this.

Never let the bastards get you down.

This what we were told on conference call with mgr.

I would have asked, "What happens when at the end of the program, when you are busy paying the bill, some dr.s take home leftovers anyway? What happens to the rep - Fired?

Or does the simple act of stating it before proceeding absolve you from further action?

Either way - Wow!

So, I was at a program last night and saw 2 attendees actually take their desserts with them! I didn't pay alot of attention while doing the CIA training so don't recall this being a no,no! Nor was it announced before program started... this is crazy if true!
