Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that 80% of our offices will be closed or short staffed between Christmas and New Year. So I guess, we'll just pretend to work. Come to think of it, that's what I do anyway.

Dave Calvert clarification just received: no extra vacation days this year for B+L 'legacy' employees, the extra vacation days between Christmas and New Year's are just for Valeant employees. Holiday schedules and days off will be synchronized starting in 2014.

No, not quite right. No B+L employees get those three days off as part of a company shut-down, all B+L employees would have to take vacation time. Only Valeant employees who are not sales, customer support, or manufacturing get those three days off without taking vacation time.

So valeant sales doesn't get it off either? How nice. Company meets their objectives mostly due to sales bug than you don't give those people the time off? Also how can hq valeant people get it off but the bl people in hq have to use vacation? Ya that seems totally fair! Wtf?!

So you are complaining about Valeant? Wait, this was a B & L rule. If you want time off at Christmas, use vacation days or take it without pay. That's what happens in the real world.

There are docs, surgical schedulers and pharmacies open and working why should you get it free? You get vacation time- stop with the entitlement attitude!
