NIBR Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship

Hello-
I am finishing my PhD this fall and am interested in the presidential postdoctoral fellowship program. Could anyone provide me with any insight into this program? I have emailed my CV directly to an HR rep but have heard no reply. I have also submitted my CV to the website but have heard no reply. Does anyone know how the hiring process works? Do they collect CVs for a period of time and then contact everyone? I haven't heard anything in about 5 weeks- does this mean I just won't hear from them and I do not get to interview for the position?

ANY info at all would be helpful
Thanks

Fuck off .
Sincerely
NVS Mgmt :)

this pattern of reaction (HR running around like headless chicken) and the other associates' cynical comments in this thread are a good insight into what you are going to expect here at Novartis. See the writing on the wall ?! If you are smart - stay away! If not, come in and you will see yourself ...

If you go to ANY company thread ALL of them are filled with cynical comments warning people to stay away...

I don't give these comments any merit. The NIBR postdoc program is supposed to be excellent. I can only hope I will get an interview.

I like your sense of humor. Enjoy the koolaid with Joe. Looks like you have no other choices.

It's obvious that you have been sheltered in the world of accademia. This may sound harsh but in the real world, companies receive numerous applications and resumes/CVs via email. These days, you have to make contact, and get to know with someone within the company and get them to recommend you.

NIBR is a separate and distinct entity of which the sales forces knows little - I doubt that you'll find any their responses helpful, best to pusue some point of contact directly with NIBR.

Sorry -

the sales force may not know all the details about 'distinct entities', but they know the overall evironment in this co very well. Anything more to say about leadership through fear and intimidation?

Very funny.
I needed a good laugh today.

it's not just an ordinary postdoc, guys; this is a 'presidential' postdoctoral fellowship. Amen. How much did they pay to that HR consultant to come up with such a ridiculous hype? I really wonder what you get out of this stupid vanity program. Maybe not even a single decent first author paper.
