Does anyone know when this will happen? I know the MSK training date is 3/26 with home study initially, but is it the same for diabetes? Thanks

Training session part 3:
Believe all of the bullshit about how cereals like honey nut cheerios are heart healthy, and eat as much as you want every day. And don't worry about all of the other carbohydrates you consume.....bread, chips, soda, crackers,......and not to worry, all of those carbs are not red meat or any kind of animal protein, so gorge yourself.
Then when the doc tells you that you have type 2 diabetes, don't let it concern you or change the way you live and eat. Just take the pills he gives you or inject the insulin or lizard spit and you will be fine. Test your blood sugar 4 times a day. Type 2 diabetes is a piece of cake.....eat that also.
Of course I am being snide and cynical, but that's the way many type 2 patients behave....until they start having heart attacks, kidney failure, etc. Then it is time to really get serious....when it is too late.
Thanks Anon. I already lost 5 pounds, thanks to you.Training session part 3 the after-class debate (only for those desiring an "A")
Sure, but consider that simple carbohydrates are absorbed rapidly, and provide sufficient feedback to the liver, pancreas, etc. - STOP EATING. More complex carbohydrates digest very slowly, on the other hand, but absorb many many times their weight in water, resulting in a bloated feeling.
Meat, on the other hand, does multiple bad stuff to the GI tract. It throws off the normal intestinal microflora. Huge chunks, whether chewed or not, get stuck and result in nasty bacteria fermenting the stuff like a wastewater treatment plant - methane and hydrogen sulfide and all kinds of other mean, nasty gases looking for a place to vent - and often, it's through the membranes, to the blood, to the skin, outgassing an awful body odor, which Americans love to cover up with scented soaps and deodorants.
Okay, your turn!
Let's not forget that statins and "antipsychotic" drugs can contribute to new cases of diabetes. And speaking of statins- they also deplete coQ10 levels, which causes increased risk of ... cardiac failure. But you already knew this. Let's move on.
I heard most of the Lilly Diabetes reps will be training at other companies before long!
