Well friends, I guess it looks like the end of an era with Metagenics. The last Katke is now supposedly shifted to a different position (Spin selling and I'm sure only temporarily before retirement) and drumroll please ...Welcome the new former Carl Zeiss lady Tonya Ray who is a Dental Hygienist for gods sake! I have no idea what the powers that be at Metagenics are thinking bringing in outside industry people to head up a very unique market sector.

I particularly like this part in her bio: "after graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry, Caruth School of Dental Hygiene in Dallas, Texas, Ray went to work at Denton State School-a residential facility for people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities-where she provided dental care for the residents." WOW.

I don't think morale at Metagenics could get any worse. If you are a current customer here I would question the authority and decision making of Amway or Alticor...whoever you want to call it, and be aware of the history since the merger. It has done nothing except damage the credibility of Metagenics and cause sales to TANK. All tenured, quality, knowledgeable Reps have either left or are on the way out. It's unfortunate...Metagenics was once a big hitter in the industry but those days are long, long gone.

And just think, you two losers, one of you might have cleaned up the toilet following her use as your last job was a janitor and the other served her food as your 'resume' has as your only previous employment Burger King.
 
































































So when are we getting a new VP of sales? Also when is the new head honcho going to realize marketing needs to completely clean house? Be nice to get some new products that can actually compete in this price driven commodity space. Nice as it is safe in sales working 3 hours a day and making phone calls all day, it'd be nice to make some more money. I guess if I just brown nose some more, I'll get promoted like everybody else in the west.

what incentives do providers have anyway? their mark up can't be too great, especially against other companies that have better products.

All the products in this space are commodities and are pretty much the same. Proprietary blend means I'm BSing you and need a way to charge you more for a smoke and mirror value proposition. 50 margin is a 50 margin. Providers need to make more money somehow. Meta and Xymogen are old dinosaurs trying to reinvent themselves by playing musical executives and stealing sales reps. Only so many times you can re-steal market share and cloak it as continual growth. Heads will roll.

Your VP of sales is the perfect fit for your company and she isn't going anywhere. She is such a puppet, who else would take that job other than her? Most VPs have a backbone and brain and appreciate talent but yours is what upper managemrnt needs to do their dirty work. It's a joke, but don't get on her bad side because she is the epitome of nepotism.
