Got confirmation that there were layoffs in Rochester yesterday, impacting Quality and R&D at a minimum. Any detailed info out there on what exactly took place?
yes, at least a dozen or so employees

Quit slacking Tom. Get back to work.
Sporadic from a few depts - maybe 1 or 2 from each. No slaughtering. Waiting for the "big" one in October (so they say/rumors).
Yeah, heard the Zeus going back to the WF plant rumour myself as recently as last Friday.
As mentioned above, its gonna be very difficult to compete with our Irish counterparts after the deal done with Pearson & Co. i.e. pay cuts, loss of bonuses and the Irish state giving millions of Euro to Valeant to stay put AND the tiny corporate tax rates there to, its no wonder they announced the first of many new investments into the WF plant just days after the unions agreed to the pay cuts etc.
Just when we think things are looking up for Rochester the Paddys out stroke us and things all of a sudden take on a different light when looking to the future viability of manufacturing in Rochester.
If Zeus does go back to Ireland, it will be the death knell for Rochester manufacturing I reckon, and its just MY opinion.
I guess we need to learn more about Project Emerald.
Right. Zero chance.
Are you trying to pretend you're from Rochester? I can hear your accent from here.
LOL. You got it. Clearly somebody with zero information is trying to provoke a reaction. It would be great if posts were confined to questions or sharing of real information.
I wouldnt be too sure about that, people said what youre saying above on the thread about layoffs in WF for months and hey presto...it all came true
If you think that poster was from Rochester (or any US location), I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.
Clearly an Irish poster.
