Here we go again...new HC products getting delayed. Probably won't get them until December when c/c season has already stared and we have to get it stocked and by the time that is done the season will be over. But yeah we get an antihistamine to sell! Woopdee doo! All you newbees this is they way it always is...get everyone jacked up and then tease us!
 






SSDD. this is the same old broken cd that gets repeated over and over and over. Now another "new" antihistamine" - that sounds exciting. There aren't enough of those on the market, now are there? Get those glossy sales aids ready! I bet the pharmacies can't wait to get all those stocking notes so they can place their order. Remember, don't ask them to order just one, ask for 7 units and then just settle for 4 or 5!
 






You know what, everybody is just as frustrated that we didnt get the new products. But instead of being glad that there is something to sell instead of laying your lazy ass off, you bitch and gripe. Trust me, the ones that were or will be let go, wish they had your job. If you dont like it here, shut the hell up and go somewhere else. We dont want you here any more than you obviously dont want to be here. Every other company seems to be letting lots of people go and yet we are trying to at least get you something to sell. You have a base that is guaranteed plus commission. Ask someone that is 100% commission paid and see how they like it.

If you are such a great sales person and you hate our company please do us all a favor and leave. We are tired of your whining. Some of us are glad to be here.

6,943 Pharmaceutical reps lost their jobs in May... You weren't one of them were you? If I were you, I'd be "jacked up" about that...

Obviously you must be pretty new...those of us who have been around a while have heard this song and dance so many times. When we used to make several thousand dollars in commission a month and then go to making under a 1000k a month it hurts and the sales force hasn't done anything but try to sell!

Thank you...for the honest post. Previous post is clearly from somebody who is definitely new and still drinking the koolaid, or from someone who is training the new reps.
 






Nobody said you weren't trying to sell, we all are. what i am saying is instead of constantly bad mouthing the company who is paying you right now when so many are unemployed, you should be grateful to have a job. You may not particularly like the circumstances right now, but guess what, NOBODY does. If it is not what you want, move on. Sounds as though you have been here a while since you talk about this happpening over and over. Why havent you left already?

I am looking for a job and am being selective in my search. I do not want to be in the same situation I am in now with a job I do not like. I have made it to the final interviews for 3 companies but with so many good unemployed candidates its a hard road to plow. Hawthorn has not kept its promises. I was hired under the impression the sales force would always be paid on what they had sold (whether it was still being promoted or not) and they took it away with little to no warning. And then we have always had the carrot dangled in front of us with NEW products that never come to be.
 


















You are exactly correct. The true and reputable pharma companies out there offer much much better opportunities! If there was a layoff I would not come back to hawthorn. So sad...
 






I saw the title of this thread and thought there was something new here. Time release aspirin? Prescription strength deodorant? Prescription strength Icy-Hot? Prescription strength rubbing alcohol? What will the think tank at Hasbeen, I mean Hawthorn, concoct next?
