Most investors are outsiders. B+L is no longer a private company. We can tell them that there is a new contact lens (code name: Zeus) that is coming out next year. All the other products you will just have to trust us they will be big sellers. There is still a significant D&R presence and everyone is working diligently on these new products.

There is still significant mgt structure in D&R and every manager is diligently meeting and talking and e-mailing and and fixing inflated crises and acting useful so the doofises at the top can believe they have real choices and decisions to make and are in control.
The matrix lives.

Either investors or competitors looking for information on B&L development projects .

There is a whole bunch of Director level people that have made a career out of manufacturing crisis. For the new corporate VPs that do not understand the business they are easy prey for these "Oh my God, what a crisis" people.

They are so good at it they will probably copy this post and turn it into some kind of impending crisis. After all someone is saying there is not a crisis which is a crisis because even if there is not a real crisis the fake crisis are what makes the B+L crisis people survive.

A large number of these people are not in purchasing, HR, D&R, manufacturing engineering, operations, or design. Hmmmmm, I wonder what departments remain then?
