The recalls have been volintary because Johnson & Johnson is a responsible company that has standards above and beyond that of the FDA. Aggravating for we the reps sure, but I would much rather represent a company like that than one that cuts corners (Arthrex) for the extra buck.

Voluntary. Yeah, right. Re: ASR, you seem to forget that they first were taking it off the market bc it cost to much, usage was declining, and the FDA was not gonna approve any more resurfacing. They hoped this would fade away. Nope, they got caught, and I hope the patients get what they deserve.
