Wow, new management must have put a muzzle on the sales force. Not a word since the new CEO and Board has taken over.

Oh I forgot most of you are probably on vacation. Given the sales results where else could you be?????

You are correct. Truly a third of the sales force has been out on vacation over the past two and a half weeks. That is to say 20 - 25 territories completely vacant for a week at a time over the past 2.5 weeks. When you only have 150 territories in total that is a big hit..... How do I know? I am one of them and we all talk. We are worried that the new team is going to sell the product off and dump us all. We just want to get our time in before they let us go. We have heard nothing different so why think any thing other?

Vivus signed a 2 year deal with PDI so the contract has about a year left. That is not to say that Vivus could not break the contract and/or PDI & Vivus amicably go their seperate ways but I think it is unlikely. The more likely scenrio, in my opinnion, is that Vivus signs a contract with a BP focusing on physicians and than after the PDI contract is up BP will increase their territory by taking th endocrinologist market where the PDI reps have been focusing.

Interestingly enough that's what the sales force has heard from the new CEO and Board since they've taken over - not a word.
