New Global Vision Care President

Interesting change at the top. Does this mean that a decision has been made to make a major shift in marketing strategy and the new president will lead this new effort?

There will likely be a strong emphasis on making sure that the new products in the development pipeline get FDA approval so the sales reps have some new products to market.

Hopefully she will have the authority to make things happen in Vision Care throughout the organization and not just in marketing. She may need to compete for resources with Pharma and Surgical as many of the people in the Vision Care organization have responsibilities for performing work for Pharma and Surgical too or report into managers/directors who work primarily for one of the other divisions.

Are you kidding me? You guys don't do anything for pharma.

Is she just in charge of Marketing or the whole Vision Care organization?

The lack of new products coming out of R&D is a problem. Brent states that B+L has "the most promising new product pipeline we have had in decades". Will these new products come out the end of the pipeline or leak out before they get there?

If the promise is kept that there will be some new products launched soon then it will be an interesting time to be in marketing and a new product launch is always an exciting time for everyone in an organization.

How big is the global Vision Care pie and is the pie growing or shrinking? What is B+L's share of this pie for contact lenses and contact lens care solutions and is B+L's share of the pie growing or shrinking?

New products could really change the trends. What is new on the horizon for Vision Care?

The new president may need to shake things up a bit to get the trends moving in the right direction.

So Jerry's out? Who's next for the chop then? And if there new hire really has in their title the following words "Global", "Vision Care" and "President" does that mean Pete V. has also received his marching orders?

Why are they chopping away?????

How much wood would a woodchuck chop chop if a woodchuck could chop wood?

Woodchucks Chopping Wood

The amount of wood that woodchucks would chop on a given day varies greatly with the individual woodchuck. According to a Wall Street Journal article, New York State wildlife expert Richard Thomas found that a woodchuck could chop around 35 cubic feet of dirt in the course of digging a burrow. Thomas reasoned that if a woodchuck could chop wood, he would chop an amount equal to 700 pounds.
Some say it depends on three factors:

The woodchuck's desire to chop said wood.

The woodchuck's need to chop the aforementioned wood.

The woodchuck's ability to chop the wood when it is a woodchuck

Hence the answer to your question.

Not according to our CEO. Vision Care is smokin hot with a ton of new products coming out soon. That's is why we have a new VP of Global Vision Care. She will give us the marching orders on how to kill the competition with these new breakthroughs.

Okay can someone calirify these reports of a new VP in Vision Care. Is this person new VP of Marketing (i.e. Mike Mulgrew's old position) or a new VP of Global Vision Care (i.e. Pete V's. job)?
