New focus on Development

What is Valeants new focus on development going to do to our potential to publish journal articles in D&R?

I can not see too much opportunity to put together novel interesting publications in the future with Valeant.

Yes, unfortunately I think that idiot is for real. Or, trolling. I'm fairly certain, there's a whole group of people who just don't get it - that it's going to be all about profits and stock price. Not about goofy measurements, going "green", setting up electric car chargers that no one uses, obscure CAPAs, marginal CPIs, Worksmart Expresses, or anything else that does not have a direct tie to the quarterly bottom line. Hopefully, the idiots who don't understand this, will be the 1st to go.

The development activities will probably focus more on getting a product approved or make sure that production is up and running, or work on a way to cut costs in the manufacturing of each product.

What a idiot... Valeant and Development? HELLO MCFLY IS ANYONE HOME?
They don't have a development program at Valeant
All they publish or care too are quarterly earnings

Who gets laid-off will reflect on Valeants view of Research vs. Development. If the research people stay then Valeant will be committed to maintaining the status quo.

My guess is that the emphasis will be toward keeping the scientists that work on quality assurance and cost cutting. So engineers, quality assurance specialists etc. maybe more likely to be kept than early stage research people.
