Neuro

Whats the real story? Good money? Good career move? Lots of miro-managing?

Integra neuro is not bad but it's not without it's problems. The money can be from 90k-250k but most are in the 120 range.

The question about career move can only be answered specifically to your career. Good move for an up and comer? Yes. Good move for a tenured rep? Maybe not.

Micro managing is at an all time high and will only get worse. The new president is a pharma model guy and is changing the structure to be run more like a classic pharma company rather than a surgical device company.

Might be ok for people making less then 100k that want to get into device and have not worked for a big company and are used to tons of resources. Great job to learn everything about med device sales from the OR to the C suite of the hospital. Same annoying admin bs that you would have with any sales job, just not as advanced or easy to complete. Most processes that are commonplace in other companies are being launched for the first time here and do not have proper resources which makes completing tasks a long complex process. If you want to sell, do not expect leadership or strategy, and can ignore all the stupidity of a clueless management team you will be happy. The last post was accurate about the president. Neuro isn't the number one choice for most and several people in management are vocal about how bad things are in Neuro. Most people are leaving due to lack of comp and frustration with poor leadership-strategy.

Follow the trend and leave this shithole before they suck the life out of you. Working here will make you hate getting up in the morning. The so called president is destroying the entire division.

Can anyone out there tell me what the Neuro Regional Sales Managers are getting paid? What kind of backgrouinds they have? Who the people they report to are like?
Any feedback is appreciated!

160 + depending on if your region makes quota. Most RBM's have management backgrounds and MBA's. Upper management can be very rough on these guys. Once a quarter you will fly to NJ and get put under a microscope. If your region is doing well you won't have much to worry about. If not then be prepared to defend all of your guys/gals and yourself from a barrage of attacks.

The RBMs are all very unhappy with management. They are all feeling the heat and trying to keep their teams from quitting. Morale is horrible. None of them have MBAs and management doesn't either. Not a good career choice at the moment. If you are external you will be fighting the barrier that an internal candidate was overlooked and is now on your team undermining your decisions. Chances are your team will side with their teammate and you will not be able to get their buyin. Money is decent, but don't count on bonuses and expenses take forever to get back.

Be very cautious about this, these posts are all pretty accurate.

Very, VERY accurate and spot on!!!!!!!!!!!

Neuro & Recon are almost identical w/ the mgmt style. If you really don't mind having your ear chewed out 24-7 then jump on board. This used to be a decent company to work for - things have drastically changed. All these boards do say the same thing about the same types of device companies....and the grass isn't always greener...but one thing is 100% for sure at Integra - why do the BEST reps leave week after week after week??? Simply put - they just don't care. It hasn't hurt them yet......oh but it will....yes indeed it will!

Have some interviews coming up with Integra Neuro for management position. Anyone tell me about Tim MCarthey based in Chicago, Tim Tipka Regional Sales manager and his team and lastly the clown they have in NJ Rich Asbell?? Thanks!

Anyone interviewing or currently employed should be aware of netcrawl programs used by corporations. You might want to think twice about venting on this forum.

All that will turn up is my nagging gfriends IP address. They can investigate her all they want. If they want to follow her pointless facebook posts and American Idol searches be my guest.

After they are done net crawling can they please tell me what the heck we are doing. What is the strategy, oh that's right there is none. Oh wait make everything take as long as possible and more difficult than performing a crani with a butter knife and safety scissors. Hats off to Chris Tim and frank things can't get any worse thanks for all the improvements

Looking to interview for an open RBM position. Is the situation described by the previous posts unchanged? Better or worse? Thanks!

I am assuming you're talking about the southwest. They only interview 2 or 3 people. Stay away from these boards in general. They're negative and person interviewing you won't like that you're feeding in to this.

It's a good position. Base is around $160K

Pacific Northwest Regional manager CJ Hinton is a complete mess! They cannot get rid of her, she is the only female RBM. She is an embarrassment and the reps cannot stand her, customers do not want to see her. She is constantly coughing from some type of chronic ailment and is inappropriate at all times! She takes up customers valuable time by telling stories that she makes up to sound important. Horrible!!!!

Pretty sour grapes! Personal attack too. Wow. What are you, a third grader? Maybe they cannot get rid of her as she continually has her division in the top of the company. I hear She actually works harder than most reps And seems to have their back when going against upper mgmt and rough accounts. Sonds like more of a personal grudge. do you work for her? Or did you?

Wow! Sounds like this is from the recently fired Seattle rep. Marla, is that you? Let's face it, the reason they don't get rid of CJ is that they don't want to. She is a top performing manager year after year. If she is so bad, why do her reps stay? Average tenure in the NW region is 4+ years. Perhaps the problem was you.

Good luck in your job search, Marla. I hope you find a position where you are happy.
