Nepotism

Does anyone know if Quest has a nepotism rule that says an in-house phlebotomist can't be related to anyone in the clinic they are housed in??
Need to know ASAP

Probably not. I am guessing that at some point in the past, they were too tired to look up the meaning of the word nepotism, and consequently made no policies concerning it. They probably think it has something to do with Baptizing citizens of Nepal.............

It was the reason I was told I was terminated....couldn't transfer with in 35 miles from current job...
Considering talking to a lawyer

If you don't have that in writing (reason for termination), then if they didn't have a policy, they would come up with another reason they could justify.

I worked for both Quest and Labcorp and I know family members worked together, as long as those positions were secured by merit - and not favors.

There is a compliance policy regarding Quest Phleb's being placed in a client's office where they are related to the client. Big compliance concern that it will appear to be inducement.
