Need advice

The surgical division just laid off the VP of the division. I would be careful, would not be shocked if Gyrus takes over the entire bag and the surgical reps get the boot.

None of these responses are helpful. Does anyone have anything real to add?

Not helpful? You just got the rundown on the post about the VP moving on and the dirt to clean up. Ignore the LESS posts they are sarcasm. Google Olympus Woodford and let me know what you think. You take the surgical job and I give you a 50/50 chance of being there in a year (and not by your choice).

Rumor has it that they have mobilized all of the Surgical Sales force into Scottsdale to do a massive layoff.

Wanted to put them through one more compliance training session just to twist the dagger before they cut off their heads...

Not true, they would never touch surgical, they are the clinical sales force and they are starting to really embrace LESS, single site surgery, The VP just retired not fired. He was with the company for many years and was getting older. Take the job my friend and make some$$$

You want some good advice? Stay the fu*k away from this company.

It's GI, bronchoscopy, urology and possibly ENT products are all quality products, and legitimate leaders in the field, but the company is run by fools, has a skeleton crew of support for us in the field, and a comp plan that is more of a scam than anything I've ever seen.

Good luck, I hope you make the right choice.

yep that's it sweet genius . spend all that money to send you to AZ to have to do compliance and then fire you. yep that makes a lot of sense.

good luck with that one.

Happens all the time actually. I once went to meeting in Orlando and my division was whacked the following Friday. Don't get too comfortable...sweet genius

Probably not all the time, but right. Don't think because you're going to az that you are immune to layoffs, cuts etc. These companies don't think like that. They will can you whether it makes sense or not.
