Need Advice - Orthopedic Distributors

Hi guys,

We are a team of two engineers with a self-funded startup. We have a low cost disposable that could be used in every large joint reconstructive surgery. One things neither of us know much about is distributing our device. As we are going through regulatory submissions and seeking investment for launch - we are trying to understand the distributorship model. If you are a zimmer distributor - can you sell a disposable from another company?

Any advice on how we can get feedback from some distributors (without really flying to all of them)?

Any distributor can usually carry ANY product that does not compete with another product directly or indirectly. However new rules have been set in place for many distributors and because of this they are very weary to piss off the BOSS i.e. Zimmer, Stryker, Biomet, S&N, Wright.
