Welcome to WEEK 9 of NCAA PICK EM! There are 14 (SPOOKY PICKS!) Games posted this week and we have some good games this weekend! I posted some games of undefeated teams like Mizzou, Texas Tech and Fresno State. These teams might not get as much exposure like other teams such as Oregon, BAMA and FSU but are undefeated!


DIRECTIONS: I have attached and posted the USA Today Odds for these 14 games and chose the "average," of all of the different odds making services that USA Today endorses. Please choose wisely and see if you will be the NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL PICKER for the week. This is only for bragging rights!

SUMMARIZED RULES:


1) Pickers who elect to remain anonymous are welcome, but must adopt an unregistered sport's board name (ie. BroncoBoy) to get due recognition for your picks. Please identify yourself with each post.

2) During regular season play all picks will be based on the "odds" or the "point" system reported by USA Today (SportsDirect) prior to the week's games. The "points" recognized will be the "points" displayed on posted "Pick-Em" schedule that will available for viewing 3-4 days in advance of the week's games. Should the "point" spreads change after the "Pick-Em" schedule is posted - the revised "points" shall not apply.

3) YOU CANNOT EDIT YOUR PICKS & POSTS BEFORE GAME TIME!! You may pick a Thursday Night Game and make the rest of your picks before 11:00 AM SATURDAY EASTERN TIME!!

4) Not all NCAA Div. 1 games will make the weekly "Pick-Em" schedule. Only those major games of interest. We are going for quality here. Not quantity. Games with a 21 "point" spread or greater are highly discouraged. If a picker wants to add an unlisted game contact the interim coordinator BroncoBoy.

5) All pickers shall show respect and courtesy toward their fellow pickers (BRONCOBOY!). A competitive spirit is fine. But let's keep it clean and be friends. We don't want to evolve into vitriol and mean spiritness that got the poli board shut down. Be nice to one another.

6) In the event of a board dispute on operational matters - all disputes will be resolved by the majority. There are no kings or queens on this board who have the final say. We are a democracy - and the majority rules. If the majority is only 2 people - so be it.

7) Post-season play (bowl games) shall be based on straight picks and NOT the "point" system used during regular season play.

Pick Em Players! I just wanted to give you all a heads up that I will not be posting the final scores until Sunday Night. I am headed to Atlanta this weekend to hang out with my two brothers. We get together one weekend out of the year in the Fall (No wives or kids). This year they chose the ATL. When I get back on Sunday (Hung Over) I will post the final scores ASAP. Thanks for your understanding and I hope y'all have an awesome weekend!

I'm going out on a limb and saying Clemson is going to beat Maryland -- after the spanking they got last week, they need to show they can take a licking and keep on ticking.

1. TINKRBELLE!!! (8-6) Congrats Tink! I know you had some tough weeks but you hung in there and won this week! USC is also looking better under Ed Orgeron!

2. Drug Dumper (7-7) 50% is not bad at all. Clemson looked better this week.

3. Fucktard (6-8) Are you ready for the cocktail party? Some are saying since there are so many injuries that it might be a cripple fight. Fans of both teams are going to need a lot of cocktails!

4. Pale Horse (5-9) I guess we should have picked BAMA? The Tennessee back up QB did better than the starter.

6. Vagitarian (3-11) The teams that were favored this week covered the spread. Your strategy back fired for both of us...

BAMABOY WEEK 9 Wrap Up

We are already 3/4 the way through the season. It has gone so fast! The most interesting game I watched this weekend was UCLA Vs. Oregon.

UCLA is not even a top 10 Defense, probably not even a top 20 in the nation. They kept things close with Oregon until the 4th Quarter. I think a Top 10 Defense could keep the Ducks in check. Stanford might beat the Ducks again this year. UCLA did not put repeated pressure on Mariota. It's just so unfair that this guy plays in the weakest defensive league in the country and can put up those video game type of stats and win the Heisman.

AJ McCarron deserves the Heisman (just because he deserves it does not mean he will get it!) The guy has won 2 National Championships as a starting QB and now is in the running for the third. AJ plays against some of the best defenses in the country and he has some of the best running backs. In the SEC a Quarter Back cannot put up those kind of video game numbers unless they are Cam Newton or Johnny Football. Mariota is not Cam Newton and I don't think he would be as good as Johnny if he played in the SEC.

Hey- I finally won! I went back to my old picking strategy. It gets harder to pick every week.
And YES, my Trojans are also coming around. The mood on campus has really been positive. I got to watch practice last week, and coach O is such a positive motivator for the team. Under Kiffin-- he had only closed practices, and the atmosphere was horrible.

I agree with you on the UCLA game-- UCLA let OR walk all over them in the 4thQ. But I am glad because I did not want UCLA to win.
I think you are wrong on the Stanford vs OR game-- I don't think Stanford is strong enough to beat them. Stanford barely sqeaked out a win the past couple of games. I predict O will walk all over them also. I think if O and BAMA play in a bowl game-- that O will give BAMA a run.
