Welcome to WEEK 3 of NCAA PICK EM! This week is EMPOWERMENT WEEK here in Birmingham. The city is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of important events in the Civil Rights Movement. Frodor's recently named Birmingham one of the top tourist destinations this Fall. If you have a hankering for good BBQ, College Football and you love History come on down! SUMMARIZED RULES:


1) Pickers who elect to remain anonymous are welcome, but must adopt an unregistered sport's board name (ie. BroncoBoy) to get due recognition for your picks. Please identify yourself with each post.

2) During regular season play all picks will be based on the "odds" or the "point" system reported by USA Today (SportsDirect) prior to the week's games. The "points" recognized will be the "points" displayed on posted "Pick-Em" schedule that will available for viewing 3-4 days in advance of the week's games. Should the "point" spreads change after the "Pick-Em" schedule is posted - the revised "points" shall not apply.

3) YOU CANNOT EDIT YOUR PICKS & POSTS BEFORE GAME TIME!! You may pick a Thursday Night Game and make the rest of your picks before 11:00 AM SATURDAY EASTERN TIME!!

4) Not all NCAA Div. 1 games will make the weekly "Pick-Em" schedule. Only those major games of interest. We are going for quality here. Not quantity. Games with a 21 "point" spread or greater are highly discouraged. If a picker wants to add an unlisted game contact the interim coordinator BroncoBoy.

5) All pickers shall show respect and courtesy toward their fellow pickers (BRONCOBOY!). A competitive spirit is fine. But let's keep it clean and be friends. We don't want to evolve into vitriol and mean spiritness that got the poli board shut down. Be nice to one another.

6) In the event of a board dispute on operational matters - all disputes will be resolved by the majority. There are no kings or queens on this board who have the final say. We are a democracy - and the majority rules. If the majority is only 2 people - so be it.

7) Post-season play (bowl games) shall be based on straight picks and NOT the "point" system used during regular season play.

PICK EM GAME NOTE: The OHIO STATE VS. CAL game is a PICK EM GAME! This means there is no point spread and you will be picking the team you think will win straight up. I have searched around for a line on this game with no success. I think it is due to the Braxton Miller injury (OSU Starting QB). No one really knows the severity of his injury and if he will be playing on Saturday?

Bolded and underlined is good for me. No need to highlight in red. Yours looks great and I really appreciate it.

Did you get the SCORE MOBILE app? There is also just an ESPN one that is good well. This really is the best way to keep up with multiple scores. I look at the scores obsessively on Saturday.

8. WASHINGTON VS. ILLINOIS +9.5 GO DAWGS!! GO HUSKIES!! My favorite PAC 12 team! These boys already laid a beat down on the Idaho State Broncos. Oh sorry the Boise State Broncos. Coach Peterson is going to Southern CAL after this season.

9. VANDERBILT VS. SOUTH CAROLINA -13.5 Vandy does not have a bad team.

10. OHIO STATE VS. CAL (PICK EM GAME!!!!) Ohio State's back up QB is better than the starter.

The rules have not changed from last year. If the player wants to make their Thursday Night pick then make their Saturday picks they have to be 2 different posts.

Once the player posts their picks they cannot edit their picks. Remember last year and some previous years people would edit their picks and then there were accusations about when the picks were edited.

The Saturday Picks have to be posted by the player before 11:00 Eastern Time on Saturday. I know I hate Eastern Time too! Everyone thinks Alabama is on Eastern Time and we are not!!! So annoying those Eastern Time Elitists!

Oregon is going to beat Tennessee by 3 touchdowns. I just don't think Oregon can beat Tennessee by more than 28 points. I am starting to question my pick but since I have made the pick and it is set in stone, oh well.

Peterson has done a great job at Boise State. Some people are throwing around Jeff Fisher's name. Jeff is the Head Coach at the St. Louis Rams and a Southern CAL graduate. There are several reports out that Lane Kiffin will not be able to hang onto his job.

I have family out in the Seattle area and I spent many summers growing up escaping the Alabama heat and hanging out in Seattle. I like the Huskies and yeah they have not had a good team in awhile.
