DOUBLE CHECK YOUR PICKS!!!

SUMMARIZED RULES:

1) Pickers who elect to remain anonymous are welcome, but must adopt an unregistered sport's board name (ie. BroncoBoy) to get due recognition for your picks. Please identify yourself with each post.

2) During regular season play all picks will be based on the "odds" or the "point" system reported by USA Today (SportsDirect) prior to the week's games. The "points" recognized will be the "points" displayed on posted "Pick-Em" schedule that will available for viewing 3-4 days in advance of the week's games. Should the "point" spreads change after the "Pick-Em" schedule is posted - the revised "points" shall not apply.

3) YOU CANNOT EDIT YOUR PICKS & POSTS BEFORE GAME TIME!! You may pick a Thursday Night Game and make the rest of your picks before 11:00 AM SATURDAY EASTERN TIME!!

4) Not all NCAA Div. 1 games will make the weekly "Pick-Em" schedule. Only those major games of interest. We are going for quality here. Not quantity. Games with a 21 "point" spread or greater are highly discouraged. If a picker wants to add an unlisted game contact the interim coordinator BroncoBoy.

5) All pickers shall show respect and courtesy toward their fellow pickers (BRONCOBOY!). A competitive spirit is fine. But let's keep it clean and be friends. We don't want to evolve into vitriol and mean spiritness that got the poli board shut down. Be nice to one another.

6) In the event of a board dispute on operational matters - all disputes will be resolved by the majority. There are no kings or queens on this board who have the final say. We are a democracy - and the majority rules. If the majority is only 2 people - so be it.

7) If there is a tie or pushed Game everyone will receive the pick as a "win."

8) Post-season play (bowl games) shall be based on straight picks and NOT the "point" system used during regular season play.

9) PLEASE!! BOLD & UNDERLINE ALL OF YOUR PICKS!!

Bronco, I added an additional game to give us an even number of games for the season.

I think you might find the following article very entertaining. It is by Kevin Scarbinsky of the Birmingham News. It's about how Alabama is preparing for Oregon by playing Texas A&M (Oregon Lite). Very interesting read!

Link: http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2012/11/scarbinsky_alabama_preps_for_o.html

You folks in Alabama are making a big mistake by putting the cart before the horse. You need to worry about getting past A&M before you lock in on Oregon. Once you beat A&M (if you can) then you can start to talk your shit about the west coast team. Otherwise it's way too premature. Once you start labeling A&M 'Oregon Lite' they're going to come out and whoop your ass. Mark my words. You'll be darn lucky to cover that 2 TD spread. You remind of ND talking shit about PITT before last week's game after the OKlahoma win the previous week. And we saw how that turned out, didn't we? :)

Saban's making a big mistake if he's looking a month or two down the road. He'd better focus the game this week and forget about Oregon for the time being. That would be my advice. ;)

the ducks will lose to Stanford

Coming from a guy who dropped from 3rd to 4th position last week I find that hilarious. Stanford doesn't stand a chance in Duck stadium. Will Oregon cover the spread? Hard to say. Depends whether Coach Chipper leaves his A-Team in the game for the 2nd half. As a general rule he doesn't intentionally run the score up unless he has to. Even if Stanford brings their BEST game - the ducks win by 2 TD's. :D

THURSDAY NOV. 8th

SATURDAY NOV. 10th

If you would have read the article you would have noticed Coach Saban did not call Texas A&M "Oregon Lite." This is an opinion piece by a muck raking local journalist who likes to sensationalize everything. I just thought you might find it amusing. The guy who wrote this article loves Auburn so he likes to stir the pot.

Texas A&M is a much tougher opponent than PITT. PITT does not have a Heisman contending QB.

Oh, I'm well aware of that. Bama better take A&M seriously from start to finish too. If Bama makes it past A&M in all likelihood they will go to the NC game. But Georgia could be a problem in the SEC championship. Just like USC could be a problem for Oregon in a PAC 12 championship. 2nd games are never as easy. It would behoove Oregon to play UCLA instead. The UCLA-USC game in a couple more weeks should be a keeper, as should the ND-USC game in Los Angeles.

Crunch time has arrived. Somebody has to blink. It will be very interesting to see who it is. Alabama is a good team without a doubt. But it's a relatively young team. Can they hold up under the pressure? They sure did with LSU. That was a pretty remarkable comeback. I just don't think Bama could hold Oregon under 30 points. And I think if Oregon scores more than 30 points against Bama they win the game.

PICK EM PLAYERS!!!,

I am very very sorry but I forgot to add the KANSAS STATE VS. TCU GAME!! I have added it to the board so if you want to edit your original post I would really appreciate it. I am sincerely sorry I guess I have just gotten TCU fatigue since they have screwed me over so many times now. I appreciate your help with this and good luck this week!

BAMABOY PICKS:

THURSDAY NOV. 8th

1. FLORIDA STATE VS. VIRGINIA TECH +14 (The Chokies suck..)

SATURDAY NOV. 10th

2. NORTH WESTERN VS. MICHIGAN -11.5 (Denard is injured, just too much BAMA for him at the beginning of the season)

3. LOUISVILLE VS. SYRACUSE +3 (Is it time for College Basketball yet? The BIG East can't wait!)

4. IOWA STATE VS. TEXAS -10

5. MIAMI VS. VIRGINIA -1

6. MISSOURI VS. TENNESSEE -3 (Mizzou gets kicked in the Vols!)

7. OREGON STATE VS. STANFORD -4.5 (Stanford at home is tough)

8. ARIZONA STATE VS. USC -9 (USC Gets back on track)

9. WEST VIRGINIA VS. OKLAHOMA STATE -7.5 (This is a tough pick, Oklahoma State is still a very good team but WVU has some fight in them)

10. TEXAS A&M VS. ALABAMA -14 (BAMA will bounce back after last week. Saban got the players in check after last weeks scare)

11. GEORGIA VS. AUBURN +15.5 (I hope Georgia lays 60 on the Barn. This will be Gene Chizik's second to last game. He will be fired after BAMA beats down "the barn" "Awbren" by 40-50 points!)

12. MISS STATE VS. LSU -14.5 (LSU is pissed and they about to make a big ole pot of Bulldog Jambalaya or Etouffee)

13. NOTRE DAME VS. BOSTON COLLEGE +18.5 (That is a lot of points)

14. UTAH VS. WASHINGTON +1.5 (Why in the hell did I pick this game? Who really gives a rip anyway? I picked it because I do like Washington, they are my favorite Pac 12 team. Go Dawgs!)

15. OREGON VS. CAL +28 (Oregon will put up video game numbers on another team with a shitty defense.)

16. KANSAS STATE VS. TCU +7.5 (K.State keeps rolling.)

Authentic BroncoBoy needs another big week to catch the fillies. With a little luck I think I can do it. The opening game (Fla St. vs. Va Tech) is very important. When I pick the opening game I usually do well. Stay tuned.

********************************************************************

Thurs, 10/08

1. Florida St. vs. Virginia TechU] +14 [F-St. didn't beat Clemson, So. Florida or Miami by 14. They won't beat V-Tech by 14 either.]

Sat, 10/10

2. Northwestern vs. Michigan -11.5 [NWestern is 7-2 and lost to Neb by 1. Michigan is 6-3 and lost to Neb by 14. No fing brainer.]

3. Louieville vs. Syracuse +3 [Pretty fing crazy. A 9-0 #9 team vs. a 4-5 team with only a 3 pt spread??? WTF??? Is this a setup or something?

4. Iowa St. vs. Texas -10 [This game could go either way. I'll go with the underdog and the 10 pt spread in their favor.]

5. Miami vs. Virginia -1 [Miami is nothing to brag on - but Virginia really sucks - even at home.]

6. Mizzou vs. Tennessee -3 [Both teams blow with 4-5 records. But Tenn almost picked off Florida last week. Tenn blows worse.]

7. Oregon St. vs. Stanford -4.5 [O-St. is a good team but has more weaknesses than Stanford. This will be a good game. Home team wins by more than a TD.]

8. Arizona St vs. USC -9 [Will USC pull their heads out after 2 straight losses? It's now or never.]

9. West Virginia vs. Oklahoma St. -7.5 [The battle of mediocrity. Okla St. sucks less.]

10. Texas A&M vs. Alabama -14 [If the spread was just 10 I would go with Bama. 14 is alot of points to cover against a good team.]

11. Georgia vs. Auburn +15.5 [Georgia will roll over that shit team.]

12. Mississippi St. vs. LSU -14.5 [Miss St. fooled the nation long enough with their weak schedule. Now we've seen their true colors. As I previously said - they were nothing more than a flash in the pan.]

13. Notre Dame vs. Boston College +18.5 [After ND's piss poor performance against PITT I have my doubts here. It's not an easy pick.]

14. Utah vs. Washington +1.5 [Why is Utah the favorite here? What am I missing?]

15. Oregon vs. Cal +28 [I don't think Coach Chipper leaves his A-Team in for the second half. He wants to rest them for next week's Stanford game. So I don't think Oregon covers this big ass spread.]

16. Kansas St. vs. TCU +7.5 [WHOA! QB Klein is on the "probable" starting list since he got his bell rung last week w/ a possible concussion. One good hit by TCU and Klein's history! Without Klein K-St is a shit team. I go with TCU.]

*********************************************************************

It's nut crunching time!!! Good luck to all!!!

The game will not happen. I agree with Pale Horse that Oregon loses to Stanford.

Pull your head out. Stanford plays Oregon in Oregon. The Stanford defense doesn't stand an ice cube's chance in hell against Oregon's offense. This is an easy 3 TD win. And this game will put Oregon into a #2 BCS ranking for sure - and a #1 ranking if Bama loses to A&M
