Welcome to WEEK 2 of NCAA PICK EM 2014! This week we don't have as many Major Match Up's scheduled but there is still some very high quality games on the schedule. I really looking forward to watching Michigan State Vs. Oregon!! I also think that USC Vs. Stanford will be very interesting. Things are fairly quiet in the SEC and Big 12 this weekend. Hopefully Florida will finally get to play a full game! :)


DIRECTIONS: I have attached and posted the USA Today Odds for these 10 games and chose the "average," of all of the different odds making services that USA Today endorses. Please choose wisely and see if you will be the NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL PICKER for the week. This is only for bragging rights!

SUMMARIZED RULES:


1) Pickers who elect to remain anonymous are welcome, but must adopt an unregistered sport's board name (ie. BroncoBoy) to get due recognition for your picks. Please identify yourself with each post.

2) During regular season play all picks will be based on the "odds" or the "point" system reported by USA Today (SportsDirect) prior to the week's games. The "points" recognized will be the "points" displayed on posted "Pick-Em" schedule that will available for viewing 3-4 days in advance of the week's games. Should the "point" spreads change after the "Pick-Em" schedule is posted - the revised "points" shall not apply.

3) YOU CANNOT EDIT YOUR PICKS & POSTS BEFORE GAME TIME!! You may pick a Thursday Night Game and make the rest of your picks before 11:00 AM SATURDAY EASTERN TIME!!

4) Not all NCAA Div. 1 games will make the weekly "Pick-Em" schedule. Only those major games of interest. We are going for quality here. Not quantity. Games with a 21 "point" spread or greater are highly discouraged. If a picker wants to add an unlisted game contact the interim coordinator BroncoBoy.

5) All pickers shall show respect and courtesy toward their fellow pickers (BRONCOBOY!). A competitive spirit is fine. But let's keep it clean and be friends. We don't want to evolve into vitriol and mean spiritness that got the poli board shut down. Be nice to one another.

6) In the event of a board dispute on operational matters - all disputes will be resolved by the majority. There are no kings or queens on this board who have the final say. We are a democracy - and the majority rules. If the majority is only 2 people - so be it.

7) Post-season play (bowl games) shall be based on straight picks and NOT the "point" system used during regular season play.

Speaking of 'bleh' - my picks! I always do much better in the 1st 5 than I do in the last 5. Maybe I should make my picks, then take the last 5 and reverse them.

Truer words were never spoken Tinkr. I can't believe that Oregon is that good. Dantonio-coached teams, hardly ever get steamrolled in the second half. At least they weren't embarrassed, like Michigan was. Bye bye Brady.

BAMABOY's WEEK 2 Thoughts:

Well this was the weekend of GREEN. Sparty played a damn fine game the first half but unfortunately did not deliver during the second half. I thought Oregon would win but was hoping Michigan State could have kept it close. This game was Mariota's Heisman Coming Out Party. I think this year someone from Hawaii will finally win the Heisman. Oregon is Number 2 in the Polls and definitely deserves to be there.

I have to agree about Brady Hoke getting the boot at Michigan. To get BLOWN OUT by Notre Dame!! That has never happened. I am sure ND will be in the Top 5 In No-Time. I think Brady is GREEN WITH ENVY concerning the final outcome of this game.

Lane Kiffin on the BAMA side line makes me Green around the Gills. When BAMA plays Tennessee next month it is not going to be a very happy Home Coming For Kiffin...

MICHIGAN Teams really struggled this past weekend. Eastern Michigan got a beating of a lifetime from FLOIRDA. Looks like that new Offensive Coordinator is already making a major impact at Florida.

I think that we had to change it because of BroncoBoy? Since he is gone I am fine with it. I am much more flexible than he was concerning stuff like that.

I wonder what the others think?

So are you really excited about the rest of the Football season? I know that it was only Eastern Michigan but Florida was very dominant for the whole game.

I think the new UF Offensive Coordinator Kurt Roper is just what the Gators needed. Remember he kept the bowl game close between Texas A&M and Duke.
 






I am fine with editing picks according to the rules, I think it was two years ago bronco alleged FT was changing her picks when it was clear she was not.
For the record, I updated mine Thursday morning before any games were played. The chances of me being up and on my computer at 7AM on a saturday are slim and none. FAMU at 0 and 2, not a real good year for me so far, should have known when I was on campus for some basketball tournaments this summer, a couple of drum majors were working out in the heat, no sign of the football players.
