Natural Nail

How can the Natural nail be profitable? There are 8 different diameters with 13 different lengths for each and offered in greater troc entry and piriformis fossa options then add that there and 6 different types of screws. That's one hell of a lot of lot of inventory!

What's so natural about all the confusing options? This is just one piece of evidence why Zimmer will never be a leading trauma company.

"Hey doc, but we have a 'Natural Nail?' Get it? It is supposed to fit a pt's natural anatomy! And it's alot less than a Gamma or TFN! Be a PAL and give it a shot PLEEEEAAAASSSSSEEEEEE?"

Everybody makes a profit at Zimmer on trauma except the rep. That is one reason Zimmer sucks at trauma. I have a couple of more reasons if anybody is interested...

That's why you do volume dbag. If you sit there and calculate how much you make on each case you need to get out of trauma. If you sell everything in your bag you will dominate and make big money. Short sighted reps don't last and will find they will suck no matter where they work.

Who said I was a rep.......? Been in the Ortho world for 16 years there young buck. Ive seen it all. So be mindful how you reply to a post. You young kids are ruining the industry with your "i know everything attitude". Come in with your fancy biz degree and dont know shit about patient care and quality of care. Thats why most HCP's hate reps.

The only way anybody is going to make a profit in trauma, recon, sports med in the future is if they have a monopoly like Ethicon on sutures. 40 years ago there were 4 big players, now one. Ethicon pretty much tells the hospitals what they are going to pay for sutures. By the way...are there any Ethicon suture reps around anymore?
