national sales trainer

I have the opportunity to go after a national sales trainer position at a pharmaceutical company. I'm a rep currently. Does anyone have any insight into whether a national sales trainer position is worth it? I worry about the travel. Any insights into pay, lifestyle, whether this might open doors down the road? Thank you!

it's worth it- do it.
it's not about the money, its about learning your trade. it's about learning deeply what's involved in sales and your business better than anyone else. Once you do this, you will separate yourself from the pharma reps that you'll be interviewing against in the future.
Do it for 18 months or less. Longer than that, you'll burn out.
Expect a ton of travel- get your hotel points and airline ready.
I did it and my career has blossomed. its a great opp.
