national sales meeting in dallas?

we dont have money for me to do a legitimate program with key customers but we do have a million dollars to put a couple thousand reps in a hotel in dallas to sit around and talk about something that only affects about a third of the territories? Integrated delivery systems is a teleconference if i've ever heard of one. word is management knows the topic is not worthy but thinks a face to face meeting will get the reps attention and focus about the importance of januvia. we really are that stupid.

Hope it is not like our Vaccine Meeting in Chicago this May...that is where our New Population Aligned reorganization will be Kicked off....good luck.
 




when will they figure out that traditional sales concepts and motivational strategies do not apply to this industry. they keep reading books and trying to apply shit that doesnt fit. we arent going to sell more by "working harder". and we arent going to "work harder" because we went to a sales meeting.
people are seeing the customers they can see. unfortunately, most of the sales depend on the quality of product versus the competition. our "hard work" cant change the things that matter the most
 




You lucky bastards heading for Dallas? Brings back fond memories of all the meetings at Loew's Anatole and Amfac back in the day when Merck rocked. Merck doesn't rock anymore but instead gets rocked by many.
