A friend I know works for another pharma company...their POA was in Kansas City! So stop your whining! though I'd gladly trade staying at the Waldorf Astoria for something a little more modest if it meant getting a decent bonus every now and then.

yes and many of you should be put in a room with padded walls a penthouse for the criminally insane and left to drool on yourselves. don't worry, mirrors will be supplied so you can slap yourselves on the backs for your acomplishments, you idiots also, you could compete with each other profusely, given that is your favorite sport-outside of drugs alcohol and sex with each other you inbreds..unless of course you find something sharp to stick in each others backs, god knows that is how you spend most of your time anyway, unless you are busy with you lips on someones ass... on second thought, a firing squad is an excellent idea

Another awards POA. Ever notice how our zone director FN walks around with a scowl on his face all the time, almost a look of constipation?? I've been here more than 4 yrs and I know he doesn't know my name. I could careless about baseball, so guess I don't count and I know I'm not part of his inner circle. I work hard, I'm a good CL, and I'm pretty happy. Wish he would just notice how much I care. My name can wait.

This was utterly unreadable...the rantings of a true madman or woman. GTFO if you hate it so much

OH WOW. LOL. Sure as hell haven't heard that one. The consensus seemed to be that most everone felt a bit insulted that were forced to do volunteer work. Don't they think that we do enough for our children's events, communities and other personal issues? Did you notice you couldn't send in the POA form without a selection and it wasn't optional?
AND if the story is true (can anyone say self-promotion, yet again) the driver who hadn't ever heard of a company doing what we did for the community is probably the case because it seems a bit unethical to force employees to volunteer. I'm sure other companies have leaders that respect their employees a bit more or trust that they do enough in their own communities and then some.

OH WOW. You really have nothing to complain about, do you? What do you want? RB to act like big pharma? That's what we escaped, you moron!

We? Don't think so J. Escaped. How impressive. How many that escaped are fleeing back and thrilled to tears at what you call big pharma. Get a reality check

If you're going to be a smartass, at least read and COMPREHEND what you comment on. RB is NOT big pharma and we don't want to turn it into that. WE being the ones here who care about patients and treatment. It only takes a few assholes to screw everything up.

For the record, "Big Pharma, "Medium Pharma," even "Small Pharma" has "forced" community service at POA's. I have painted fences, planted shrubs and scrubbed floors while at a different company. Yes, we do care about the patients just be sure to help a lot of them.

As a long time (in this company's terms) CL, I have witnessed RB's shift from a startup pharma company to a large pharma company (I did not say BIG PHARMA though)....I am not happy with a lot of the recent changes since we "went global", which to me was the tipping point towards a lot more regulation with regards to our activities, more reports to complete (but no more BAR report thank God), and a general feeling of a "Big Pharma" company. It's a balancing act, and I think that RP is doing his best to keep the US...errr..North American culture intact. But some things are unavoidable

The days of calling BA directly to get a doctor added for quota purposes are long gone; this ridiculous notion that we somehow have the future-vision to set our "frozen universe" a month before the next quarter is ridiculous. I've had so many docs come and go in that month, or move into my territory mid-quarter (or get certified, which we are supposed to get credit for, but don't)...That comes with being a bigger machine with more moving parts. That said, I still think this is a solid company to work for, and despite my displeasure with some of the changes, I would much rather be here than throwing samples at docs and telling them how my company's prostate drug is better than company Z's by 5%....

I do miss the days of old, b/c cold calling back then was different. Now we're trying to get back to that, but every doc knows Suboxone and the issues that come with it. Back then they went into it, if they were interested mind you, without the stereotypes that are associated with our product (uncalled for or not). That's what makes growing your territory a b*tch now, docs don't want to touch Suboxone...Gotta grab the young ones that are still idealistic enough and have the "save the world" mentality.

Meanwhile I am converting docs to Film big time but am ranked behind vacant territories b/c I'm not making the company enough money by growing. RB knows they are taking a bath on Film profits b/c of the copay card and the $$ they are throwing at MCOs to get Tier 2 status, thus the emphasis on "growing your territory"

Oh well, good and bad, same as every company
