Name some positives about the company

You always see the negative aspects from everyone. Is there anyone here that likes their job? Anything positive you would like to say? It's nice to have a change once in a while.

That's because reality is that there is not anything positive to say about this company, contract, or even the industry anymore. What was once a great career in a great industry, is now just a shit job that has everyone looking over their shoulder hoping they are not the next to get let go. Positive thing is that you have a choice to not lower yourself to what their standards are. It's a nowhere job in a dying industry. Look elsewhere.

I like working for Publicis. I have a terrific District Manager. The job is low-stress, and my district is comprised of personable, fun-loving, kind people. Others may think a contract company is not the way to go, and perhaps for them it is not, but for me, it works great.

Yeah, I just accepted an offer for the diabetes gig, and that is exactly what I am hoping for with this job. Sure, they want sales and reach and frequency, but the expectations and pressure are just not the same as if you were working direct for AZ or BMS. From what I understand, speaker programs will be administered by AZ, so the administrative load should be less. I've already put in my decades directly with major pharma, and I don't need to make as much money as I used to, so the pay is not an issue. Only had the one interview, but the DM seemed pretty good to speak and work with. Time will tell.

TOTALLY UNTRUE, THE ONLY THING DIFFERENT IS YOU GET PAID ABOUT 2/3 OF WHAT AZ/BMS REPS GET PAID. BUT I ASSURE YOU THAT YOU DO THE SAME AMOUNT OF WORK FOR LESS PAY.

I believe this which is why I declined the offer. I am certain that the expectations are the same, but the pay is too low. I understand the reps won't have to do dinner meetings and some of the extras, but I'm certain would still have to be in the territory for a full day, and reach and frequency will be evaluated as well as numbers and market share. It's not too hard to find work that pays the same that doesn't involve beating your car to death and being out in the wind and rain. A commissioned job at the mall pays this much or more if you go into luxury sales. Sure it might involve nights and weekends, but doesn't involve delivering lunches to nurses who take enough for three people to eat and stressful ride alongs. Just one opinion, different strokes...

It's ~$80,000/year package. There is NOTHING else a non professional can do around here to make that. And, yes, of course you have to be in the field full days. Part time pays ~$30,000 with no benefits.

If I add up salary, bonus, and phone/internet allowance, it's close. I currently pay for phone/internet out of my pocket, so that is income to me. Plus, $600/month auto allowance is quite a bit more than my car payment, and if I add that in, the total comes to just a bit over 80K. Not going to snub my nose at it.

For people that don't expect more from themselves and their career, and accept that they will continue to regress instead of make progress, then yes it is the way to go for you.

Did you really add your bonus in as a positive? Lucky if you get 200 a quarter. Then it will be followed by that miknd numbing lecture from your DM as to what you need to do to get more bonus. Did you use fuzzy math skills or what? The one thing you can count on with this gig is a lot of if you would only and many statements with no anwsers.

Positive is that I have know people who have worked for PSS and they say that it is the lowerst of the low. The manangers esp. one that is know as Mr. Right is so wrong in every way. Has all the signs of a washed up has been. Karma is a bitch baby and you just sit and think about it for a second. Ok, now for the positive, you have been warned to stay away from here. If you choose to work for these monkeys then you are the only one to blame in the end. It's layers of HR that don't know shit or can't help. This followed by Regional people who fell off the wagon from who knows where and sucked up the the right person and can make a pile of shit look like a pile of old. They will appear once or twice a year only to get their ass kissed and a free meal. The next time you will hear from them is at the end of the contract. They will promise you the moon but deliver nothing and have every excuse under the sun as to why your bonus is just not there or pump you full of belief that your contract will be extended. All false and all some and mirrors until they cash their last check and then it's on to the next round of suckers. Much like the casinos, this contract game is rigged and the longer you play the more you will lose.

You hit the nail on the head. The working Mom thing that is. Rather than working though. It is a great job for a Mom who is looking to get out of the house for a few days a week and get paid to have coffee and chit chat with girls that work in the offices. Be cafeful to not let them know that this is just a hobby and you really don't need to work but sitting at home has become really boring. Contract anyway you look at it is part time work. Moms can check the box just as good as anybody else.
