Nah, nah... Nah, nah, nah, nah... Hey, hey, hey... Goodbye!

Keep up the brilliant "leadership", heir directors! Making it all very easy for the competition!!!

Easy isn't the word -
Mr Hospital SWO Director VP Leader (aka Mr Wonderful) - Instead of giving us another "to do" list, please give us a "this is what I've done for the company" list. I'm sure you can think of something you've done over the past 10+ years. Any one thing will do. It would mean the world to us if we could hear at least one of your many, many wins. Please share your rich history - we yearn to hear about the golden days. (BTW: as impressive as your record is; stories about selfishly manipulating reps territories and numbers, destroying multiple regional and senior management teams, improving your golf handicap, speaking disparagingly about good and loyal employees, justifying 10 weeks of PTO, and/or protecting and promoting your friends DOES NOT count). The stage is yours....

If he's been there 10+ years....surviving acquisitions, relocations, new "strategies" numerous new Presidents....he must be doing a few things right.

You're absolutely correct!
He is doing quite a few things right - he mastered the art of manipulation, finger pointing, blame game, and getting paid for failure. Impressive. Besides alienating the majority of his peers and field; he always has a reason for our competitors success. It is never his fault - NEVER - always someone else's fault. After 10+ years that song and dance is worn out.
I assume something like this takes 12-15 years to secure? Rest assured, he will have a laundry list of excuses and blame the EV, MS, and UB teams for this; but will not take any responsibility: Novation LLC (Irving, TX) awarded a five year agreement to Medline Industries Inc (Mundelein, IL) for medical and surgical products. Under the agreement, effective September 1, 2012, Medline will distribute both national branded products as well as its broad array of Medline brand medical and surgical products to healthcare facilities from its 34 distribution centers throughout the U.S. The agreement is available to 65,000 members of VHA Inc (Irving, TX), UHC (Chicago, IL) and Provista LLC (Irving, TX).

And it's KJ's fault that Medline got a Novation award ?? Not sure what you're expecting here. Sole source Novation for your products? Not the way life works.

In a word: Yes. *If KJ has been (and is) responsible for hospital sales & clinician preference for 10+ years, how and why is the door open for Medline or any competitor to penetrate their products/brand or promote others through their distribution agreement? *If any distributor was awarded a sole source agreement, is it possible that they are able to influence a brand or product? What's to stop them? - We've already dropped our price and it's not working. Add more reps? That's a recurring annual KJ smoke screen. Another new and improved comp plan? That's another KJ annual event.**In this case, if Novation awards sole source agreements, why don't we have one for any of our products? If they don't award sole source, why aren't we recognized as the preferred brand and market leader in all the accounts that Medline will distribute to and prevent any loss? *Can not blame MS or UB teams for that. They aren't creating brand or product loyalty. When KJ started here, Medline's primary product was cheap gauze, and our product line was certainly deeper. What happened? Seems like it should have been pretty simple if you had 10 years to sell our line - except over those 10 years KJ was so caught up in blaming the competition and his staff for his lack of success, that he lost sight of his job and goal. He was trumped in his own domain. Pathetic. Frustrating. We deserve better. Getting back to your question, who is responsible...let me ask: Tell us KJ, how does life work? (I mean what's your excuse now?)

Very interesting comments. Did you know that Novation, Premier and the others do not do sole source or preferred contracts in wound, skin or urological. As a matter fact the Novation and Premier contract have 5 or more companies on Wound and Skin. Blame for our situation goes well beyond KJ. How about the fact that we have absolutely no R&D going on in skin care. We have had virtually no new products since the move from Atlanta. This isn't KJ's fault. The brains in Denmark keep sending over Danes. They are responsible for the focus of the company. KJ may influence that but I guarantee has little to no direct decision making on that. Our problems are much greater than KJ.

AGREED !

As an "ex-Coloplaster" I couldn't agree more.

The revolving door of Senior US Mgmt (4 Presidents in 5 years, I believe) combined with the lack of ANY innovative new products (esp. in Wound/Skin) are clearly the underlying issues.

Agree and going back 5 years before that we had 4 reorganizations. 8 reorgs in 10 years and you blame KJ. He is a survivor but everytime a change at the top occurs we are left to sort it out ourselves and we have to train a Dane on the health care system here. Talk about frustrating. The blame goes to Lars and before that Steen. Yeah Steen the wiz guy who decided to move the company to Minneapolis and start over from scratch. Just at a point we were actually making in roads and things seemed like they were humming along.

Corey Moritz was FIRED last Friday from Covidien EBD. He was the Central Region AVP.
He had a lawsuit brought against him for employee harassment.

Pass the word. Do not hire this guy, that is why its posted on your board!!!

Seem like someone is worried that this guy can be hired as his replacement. Isn't that correct KJ?? Nice attempt at a diversion.

BTW - the "Jethro" name thing is getting old. Give it a rest.
