MYpap

How's mypap working out for you guys? I saw Strand diagnostics billed Medicare for 4.5 million dollars in 2012 according to that new Medicare website. Not exactly a great use of taxpayer money. Guess some labs are too stupid to label specimens correctly.

Entertaining, when you read the underlying ClinPath study regarding error rates, they assert a Type I rate of 0.22% (Type I being the substitution of one specimen for another). When you read the MyPap literature, they claim a rate of 3.5% of incorrectly labeled specimens. Truth in advertising and for that matter, honesty in business, was never a strong suit for the KnowNot Error folks. Know that diagnostic device claims aren't as rigorously examined by the FDA as pharmaceutical claims, but does seems this bold exaggeration merits a review.
