MyCall gone? Say it isn't so...

Finally.
It rapidly became a fancy way of getting signatures. I knew very few reps who used multiple screens when talking to drs. I liked the brief data on signature screens (although too much balance crammed in to a small section) and being able to do away with carrying endless reprints/p.i.s with me during field vists.

Beyond that... good riddance.

Not looking forward to the iPad. Too gimmicky. Add that $800 to my paycheck and give me back the old/little handheld ipaq (?) we use to have. Simple, but effective.

Can anyone tell me why it took at least 2 pages of "fair balance" when the page "fair balance" is enough on printed pieces? I loved having everything in one place-the Lawyers made it impossible to use and now I get to go on a medical because of all the paper I will need to carry for 6 products to remain in compliance.

I loved that little ipaq, could get signatures, play solitaire and it was small enough to tote around easily. Carrying around the computer is like the days of CBD (computer based detailing) Been around long enough to see it come full circle.

I just did a sync between my iPaq and the desktop. I cannot believe it is still working as my electronic calendar. :) This is the iPaq from ten years or more ago?

Bring back the ipaq!!!!

Like other poster said, small but effective. Don't overcomplicate what we do everyday. We get signatures. Give us a simple tool for that purpose, save the company some $$ and put it towards a better company vehicle we can spill food in when schlepping lunches.

Another vote here for the good old IPAQ!

I still have the sync cradle and all the accessories. It is really a nifty little tool. It is on my table, next to my PC, showing what I am supposed to do tomorrow and the rest of this week.

If anyone from corporate is reading this, take note. We want simplicity, not fancy. Screw the iPad, we want the little iPaq back.

You talk about us servicing our customer's (Trust and Value), service us in this small way (and save money in the process).

SIMPLICITY!!!!

Wasn't this McClintocks baby and it would save us and make Merck the champions of the industry again? Instead we turned out to be duds just like CBD and now we've decided that this shit is too expensive and the docs are not impressed! Think how much nepotism has cost Merck..moving a regional HQ office to Snottsdale (what a dud ass place so far from nowhere but where Mikie was) Taxi rides from the airport probably cost Merck millions and it was the worst place to train...everyone had to fly and it was expensive! Roberts rules of order include 1.Never hire kinfolks! 2. Don't eat where you shit! At least Merck does not have bathrooms connected to the cafeteria!

By the time 2013 rolls around, we will finally be given the iPad 1---which will be 4 times behind the iPad 5 that will be currently available by then!

It is irrelevant whether we have iPad xyz or what. iPad 1 will do the job. Don't need the latest generation. May be Merck is waiting for the price to drop more? Or finding a piece of software robust enough? Hardware usually is not the problem. Or Mother is waiting until we only have 500 reps nationwide to invest in more new hardware.
