I just can't take it anymore. Bad manager. Very bad manager. How the hell do these people get promoted? She was a poor excuse as a rep and had no rewards in her whole career but yet she gets promoted. Then Mallinckrodt doesn't even have a training program so then she comes in and starts calling the shots.

It happens all the time. Get used to this in this fairly tale known as pharmaceutical sales. My suggestion it to become a manager yourself or look for another job if you think this turd is going to be your manager for a long time. Remember, managers come and go.

Exactly! Talk about a horrible work environment when you have a complete incompetent manager with no training. My manager was a horrible rep with average rankings at the very best and then gets promoted? What message does that send?
 






There are two main problems. The first which is exactly discussed, which is hiring unqualified reps as managers with absolutely no formalized managerial program. No training whatsoever. It's a slap in the face to sales reps. The other major problem is CAS directors. Let's face it, they should exist. If everyone realized the total expenditure $$$$ for this department, they would realize this.

face it, there are companies with training programs that still pump out horrible dsms.
i get it you want to be the dsm and or you just dont think yours is any good.
im just saying you could have a horrible dsm anywhere. bad dsms suck regardless of their training. you can manage or you cant
