Came over in a merger back in 2010 and can honestly say it was the worst 4 years of my life. Clueless, incompetent management. Sales reps were all ridiculously tenured, overpaid, worthless, and insecure. I used to go to account meetings and just listen to these idiots babble on for hours at a time. New commercial model, what a joke that was, sales plummeted and not a word when it went away. Finally raised my hand an ran with a package.

There is no great clusterfu#k that Merck or Big Pharma in general. No normal industry pays huge salaries with company cars for people that work part time or a few hours a week. Pharma is a scam that milks money from health systems, payors, and consumers which gives it endless cash to throw around.

Merck seems to thrive on hiring the absolutely worst human beings for management level jobs and making sure the good people with a work ethic, integrity and smarts almost always are pushed out or harrassed to the point where they quit...

Lol, jealous. Not at all. Making twice the money in the same industry, but I will admit I still suffer mental anguish from what I was exposed to. So, I guess Merck is still winning.
