Move Along Sheep

Damn what a coincidence with all the VP promotions after the sale announcement. Gotta admit I've heard facts on what the lower deck Celgene employees got in regards to raises and bonuses. Pennies compared the upper crust folks. Way to reward people for busting their ass making a company like this for someone to come in, shit all over it, then sell it off like a used hooker.

Just won my 5th straight President's Award and my raise was 2.1%
Proof that something is inherently wrong with the ranking system if 5th straight award. You're probably not working any harder if at all. By the way, 2.1% increase is what most highly rated hardworking Americans are getting in industries outside of pharma.

what would you propose numb nutz?

a goal based system? No thanks, everyone knows those only reward those with the lowest performing territories. socialist love goal based system and all the stars leave. those clowns who say, just give me a number to shoot for and I've always done great -guess what - they can't sell. Here's your number, start beating the people in your own district.

a market share based system? No thanks, every knows that if you can't capture Kaiser, Tricare, MediCal, Optum, Hospitals, VAs, ACOs and the 28% of SPs that don't report to IMS, then the data aren't valid.

a behaviors based system? No thanks, but we are about to get BMYs. You'll see activity soar and sales growth decline.

moron

So the boss and his cronies have their noses in the trough. Having worked at Celgene for several years the pattern of rewarding for failure is inherent with senior management, Senior Director upwards.
So sad :(

You are part of the problem simply by being more than eager to accept such a small penance for work being done. Pretty much accepting the bare minimum. This is a part of the complicated problem of letting these types of executives pulling the same BS like with any company. People like you accepting this makes them think, hmmm how much further can I push this to take more and more.

This is true no matter where you work.

Wrong simpleton. I think it's fair for the 1&1/2 days I work a week. I do this with 2 other companies as well. I won 2 of three President's Awards last year. Finished top 20% in the third.

It's a killing. Three salaries. Three bonus plans. 15 kickers combined. I make about $1300/hr.

The hardest part is putting miles on all three cars, but I win so much no one asks too many questions.

It's buffoons like you who actually allow executives to get away with things. As for me, I make my own benefits.

Damn. Don't break anything patting yourself on the back to hard there man. 3 jobs. Must be fun living to work. I'd rather work so I can live. To the OP it is pretty sad the top level people are taking so much of the pie. Didn't always used to be like that.

So I guess youre not getting another job after this? You do know the minute your next prospective employer verifies your employment they will see the double dipping? It depends on which state you are in but there is still typically several ways to skin the cat in that one. Tax records, background checks, etc.

Come on little fella, do you really think I tell other employers about my other gigs. I don't tell any of them about R&F and that's a fourth gig.

Secret for you, the HR people only verify that you work where you told them you did.

Damn, I hope I get to compete with you at anything somewhere down the road.

After reading this, I added another gig. Finished training last week (all was on line at home) so end of this week I should receive my first double dip pay check. I'll let you know how it goes, but we can't see anyone anyway in Hem so might as well sell some non competing products.
