More ride alongs.

I see my manager every 2 weeks for a 2 day ride with. My customers are sick of it and have told me not to bring her back. She is bossy and often needs to put her two cents in on every call and conversation. They hate her. I am running out of places to go. It is also hurting my numbers. AZ is so anal they are going to cave into themselves and no longer exist.

you just need to figure it out....the craziness is because $$$ is attached not only performance (metrics) but even more so it is attached to all of us keeping our jobs in this contract for the next 10 months and hopefully longer. Suck it up! Even if you don't get a bonus, be happy you get to keep your job. Shut your pie hole and enjoy the ride because the rides won't be stoppin'

Ride alongs would not be bad if the managers were realistic! access sucks and really sucks with 7 plus people calling on the same offices!!! Believe me i hope this contract gets extended and if it does ill be thrilled but i will also know this is the dumbest ass company in the world. unless they are going to cut their az reps there is no reason they need us.
plain and simple!

Well, there are jobs with no ride alongs. Find them.

although, I can understand the "game", and I am glad to be out of it. Find those jobs if you can't take it.

I couldn't take it anymore, and I am not looking back.

Good luck.

So, instead of complaining on this post why don't you do something about it? 2 days every 2 weeks is NUTS!!! No excuse for that at all. It is doing DAMAGE in your offices. SAY SOMETHING to somebody. If your own manager won't listen go to the Regional. I had a situation where our DM was spending an excessive time on ride-withs, we had a pow-wow with the RM and it ended! Get your colleagues together and rebel!!!

I once had a clueless affirmative action Regional that would do field rides (was always late when I picked him up at the hotel, real class act), and would stare at the walls when he was in the office, never even striking up a conversation with the office. The DM I had was not much better.

Anyway, it got to the point where I just couldn't take these idiots to any important offices.

I would just take them to providers that were idiots like them, and it was a perfect match.

I agree too. The frequent field rides are enough to make you want to find something else ASAP. I mean seriously, they provide 0 value and is a waste of their time and ours to do them so much and so long. If you need to meet with us once a month, join us for a lunch where you can see us really sell, go over the data and territory information with us, etc. Then be DONE. Everyone's happy and we'll get far more out of it, I assure you.

The field rides are because you guys suck. You are all shitty reps that were let go by your former companies. Very few of you belong in pharma sales. There is a reason you were let go. feed back from HQ employees from field rides is that most of you are jokes with no ability to access the physician and occasionally when you finally do, you stutter a few words out that make no sense to anyone. Waste of money for AZ. Starbucks is hiring.

you are a clueless virus.

field rides are to watch reps and make sure they are working and following the company line.

feedback from HQ and other crap has nothing to do with getting downsized in today's market.

You probably are used to sucking up so much, that you don't worry about losing your job even though you can't sell...

because you are willing to do ANYTHING to keep your job, including taking it up the...

Just stop the ride alongs and let us do our job. We look like goofballs when ur with us.

this is so true.

The doctors look at us like we are not professinal enough to just do our jobs. It is like we are in 1st grade again, trying to get a star for your work.

In many way, pharma sales is like going back to grade school. I mean, look at all the suck ups in this industry!

Its so sad. I stay in the game because it pays so good, and its an easy job for me (it amazes me that even some vets still have trouble in this job, mostly because they are not smart people or lazy).

However, I have dug a hole for myself and I am not marketable for other postions.

Just can't have it all in life, right?

How wrong you are! Just reinforced the concern with a bunch of non selling idiots. God forbid you deviate from the script and actually sell something. Just keep blaming the products. TXL is one of the most successful products ever, but even you can't sell that. Maybe you should open up a lemonade stand in the desert. You might get a few sales, but even that is doubtful. I'm sure the lemonade will be too sour or sweet.
