More layoffs coming in 2018

I think it’s telling that the “business rules” for opportunities now value tenure over talent. Genentech reps might be lazy but the science worked. Not anymore. So Roche takeover completed. Primary care lifers clocking in and out now rule the day. Good luck. I’d cash out and go to somewhere with a future. There’s not a single new thing or pipeline product with any legs.

PM at mid-year is the beginning of the end. Even if it's not warranted the managers are 'encouraged' to give it to at least one person in the division. Makes it easier to determine who will be displaced. All about legal and who sucks up the best. True performance is not even in the mix with some DMs. Sham.

yeah, what else is new. Next...
What will be the next secret code phrase that genie will use for shitcanned?

The revolving door and non-stop turnover in upper management and middle management has collapsed a great organization. The death spiral started long ago. Look at the stock price. Cuts are coming and will be deep.

Just look at the low level of interest on CF; people are mentally checked out. The smart ones will soon be physically checked out to other companies. Then, unfortunately, we'll be left with the complacents and no-talents.

The lay off has been the best thing to happen to me in a long time. Found a job paying a lot more. The people are nice. Products are good. There aren't 7 Genentech people in my territory. When you talk, they listen and you aren't frownd upon or looked at as negative. Managers manage and aren't afraid of the back stabbing RSD's. I'm in the SE and this is a breath of fresh air. Also, it's weird how you hear other companies laughing about Genentech, sad, I never knew.

Totally agree. I've had a very similar experience and so glad to be away from such a dysfunctional, toxic, environment. Yes, GNE is not All That in the minds of other companies and accounts. Maybe many years ago? If you're unhappy make a change.
