MNK 155

The Marketing department is the worst in the industry. If anyone should be fired, it should be that department. The are completely clueless and have led to the demise of this launch. I hope someone takes a strong look at this message because every fail has been due to the initial direction that was directed to the reps in terms of calls as well as a complete lack of impactful promotion pieces. They have seriously adversely affected so many reps lives and they should be help accountable for that. They should be fired.

Because they are stupid, that's why. They still think this product will sell, no matter how slow or poor the XXR launch has been.

They probably think that because hydrocodone is #1 prescribed product in the US, that there FANTASTIC version will do well, also.

Wrong.

And I don't need to list the reasons, do I? Just blink, change the name of Xartemis XR to whatever name they will name MNK155 and you have a complete do-over.

Heh. Looks like we can't hop on board the schedule III train that hydro combos are currently skirting on. Come October 6, all hydro combos will go CII. How will we position this vs XXR? I shouldn't even be looking that far into the future because I still have to hit my 60 by the end of this month. Sheesh.

there will be no corporate plan/strategy to stock pharmacies… it's up to the reps!

there will be no mandate to certify reps for hospital access… it's up to the reps!

the name will be ridiculous, stupid, hard to remember and hard to spell… it's up to the rep to carry the ball to the goal on that one.

except for the NE, the biggest managed care players will NOT allow coverage… it's up to the reps to ferret out the docs with other plans.

no medicare coverage, no medicaid coverage.

no genuine, workable strategy to penetrate hospital formularies based on their obvious decision-making priorities. none. only wishful thinking. it's up to the reps!

ridiculous expectations in a shrinking market with no help, RE:abuse-deterrent labeling.

Like abuse deterrant labeling matters.. Who cares? This is an acute care product. Don't think too many providers writing for 30 or less are going to care about abuse deterrant. Any more than they do with XXR

No matter what happened with the FDA and hydrocodone, MNK155 was always going to be CII because of the 12 hour dosing, just like Zohydro.

Regardless, I cannot imagine this product doing any more business, nor can I imagine home office doing anything differently with this product than XXR.

I don't think the same sales force selling XXR will be the same one selling MNK155. They don't want you competing with yourself for the few prescriptions for these novel products. They probably don't think you have the talent to switch between iPad apps that quickly.

What will happen next is anyone's guess.

Any thoughts on the XXR selling approach in light of the HydroCOdones becoming C-II's?

Some of mine said they will step back to tramadol or other lighter agents. I am wondering if since the patients will be coming in anyway, why not go to Q12h XXR so they are not redosing all night.

Thoughts?

And the failure will be due to the reps and only the reps. Marketing had nothing to do wiht the failure
