Some CSRs say they love it and work life balance is achievable. Other CSRs say they're miserable with no work life balance. The recruiter says the CSR position is a career making opportunity and seems genuine. My current device job maxes out at 115K. Quick, somebody please bash the hell out of me cause I think I'll accept if given an offer. Sigh.

I have had an overall good experience with Intuitive and am approaching my 3rd year as a CSR. It's challenging but I love working with surgeons and the technology is 2nd to none. Keep in mind you rarely hear about the happy reps just the disgruntled. Don't let cafepharma influence you too much.

I interviewed with ISI, did the field ride and enjoyed it. It didn't work out for me geographically but I think that's a good gig. I'm in the commodity side of medical and would make the jump to technology in a second. Think you're smart to pursue it.

I worked with ISI for 4 years. It depends on the geography and the leadership in the area. If you are looking at the northeast, don’t do it. Weak leaders and you will be micro managed to death. I left ISI and I could not be happier. The technology is 2nd to none and its one of the hottest things in med device but the days of making big $$ are long gone.

Did you work 70 hrs a week and constantly managed by fear and/or threatened? Was it doable getting new surgeons to do cases or was it more like scraping the bottom of the barrel? Hard to grow the business?

70 hours? Try 90! The job truly depends on the manager. Mine was terrible. Fear / intimidation / micro managing asshole. The urology market is trained for the most part. Most GYN oncs are trained. All the benign GYNs (who have volume) are trained. It's down to general surgery. Some markets its taking off, some its lagging.

Thx for the insight. Sadly it appears the culture hasn't changed much. I love working hard especially when it comes to that which I am passionate about. But 70 plus hrs is hardly conducive to a healthy life overall.

If you are satisfied with $115k and a 40 hour work week, please do us all a favor and pursue your brand of excellence elsewhere.

So I'm "satisfied with 115K" and an underachiever because I'm unwilling to give up my life for 200K and working 90 hrs a week? Oh I see. How many cups of kool-aid have you had?

Yup. Nothing has changed. Please do US a favor and continue to pursue your brand of arrogance where you are. Attitudes like that make it impossible for us to recruit talent. They don't want to work with douchebags like you. If you were the slightest bit professional and dropped the BS sarcasm for some thoughtful sincerity we might find good people want to work for us, and i bet the customers might appreciate a taste of it, too. You must've started at $250k year one right out of that dumpy state school you went to...Yeah, didn't think so.

Don't take the bait! Most of the people who troll or post on CP are from competitor companies, people who have never worked at ISI or disgruntled prior ISI employees. Every company has them and they just want to make the org look bad. Don't trust anonymous comments.

anonymous perhaps but accurate all the same. this company just can't shake it's terrible reputation.

My mgr (west Coast) barely works 30 hours a week. She is too busy doing things for her personal life...so the 90 hours is definitely NOT accurate. Every territory is different and it DOES depend on the Mgr you are working for.

You keep posting the same crap about your manager. Why are you constantly throwing her under the bus? Are you the problem? This is like the 4th post...
