I suppose you don't become a billionaire by giving away your billions! Why are we surprised to be getting a 2.5 raise for top performance? Valiant cares about the bottom line and increasing share value! According to Forbes Mike owns 1.3billikn dollars worth of Valiant stock. That said, do you really think he's gonna give you a fair and respectful merit increase? Nope, if he gives us more there Is less for him!

"Valeant is a Wall Street machine and Pearson is paid like a hedge fund manager. His chief financial officer, Howard Schiller, once ran Goldman Sachs’ investment banking business. Pearson’s compensation scheme was put together by board member Mason Morfit, whose ValueAct Capital Management hedge fund is Valeant’s third-biggest shareholder. “We like that long term alignment and that leveraged compensation for performance,” said hedge fund manager Ackman.

The interesting thing here is that you are still here, crying about not making more money. Why not leave ? Rather whine and complain?

You failed to mention you also got a nice stock option. Together these equal over 5%. If you are a performance driven rep and finish on the top half each year you will make more money here than at most pharma companies. Do the math. If you will move up to a senior rep you will also increase your earning potential. On top of all that, we have uncapped bonuses. Unheard of in this industry. Then there are the contests. I do not understand people like you that spend more time and energy bitching and complaining about the most ridiculous things. Think you can do better? Go! Several from my area have left for greener fields and more money. Most are not happy. More travel, lesser benefits, more micro managing. Bottom line, if you're not happy LEAVE! The rest of us are trying to be positive. We want to work hard and make a good living (which we are) and do it in peace.
