Michigan

Why are their so many openings in Michigan? Is it due to
expansion as they say or layoffs?

Recruiters will tell you expansion. Most of the openings are from terminations or people quitting. I know 2 reps that that quit without anything lined up, that's how bad they wanted out. Post for the jobs at your own risk, I wold read other posts in this forum before subjecting yourself to this Somali prison.

Sounds like the device industry is just as bad as pharma ..... if the device reps make all this big money, why are people quitting?

Reps are NOT making $225K any more. Get real. Unless they sold several upgrades and new systems - just not sustainable in this saturated market.

The CSR job has ups and downs like ANY job out there. Sometimes the travel and pressure sucks, sometimes it's rewarding. But, do your homework and find out the ACTUAL comp plan before thinking you're locked into $225K!

The reason for all the openings is the vp and directors here are douche bags and would sell their own children for a dollar. They are used car salesmen with questionable morals at best and grind people into little bits of dust until you quit. I personally heard one of the directors chastise a manager for not digging into a reps weakness enough to make them really uncomfortable. 225 k is great until you hate your life, your spouse hates you, and you forget the names of your children because you are always working or stressing.

Some reps can make big money if they have the potential in the market. Truth is most reps make in the 180K range (thats included your care allowance of 600 per month). If they are selling this to you at 225K ask to see the comp plan from the previous rep or reps in the district you are working. Read the posts on "Has the culture changed here" before you make the jump. You've been warned...

Now back to general session!!
