What’s going on with the CCO Michelle Weese? she’s been there over a year and has fired almost anyone who was part of the Michael Willi regime. It is brutal and what has she achieved or what will she achieve?

(To the tune of Imagine by John Lennon)

Verse 1

Imagine no more veterans,

In corporate affairs today.

New hires know so little,

They’re stumbling every way.

Imagine all the people,

Just trying to make sense…

Chorus

You may say it’s chaotic,

But that’s the Novartis way,

With Swiss press on the headlines,

Oh, they’re calling us each day.

Verse 2

Imagine Michelle Weese,

With no support in sight.

Public Affairs is crumbling,

Patient Engagement’s out of light.

Imagine no more crisis comms,

When things go off the rails…

Chorus

You may say it’s ironic,

With German speakers none to be,

But we’re hoping for a future,

With some stability.

Verse 3

Imagine all the people,

Fired left and right,

Swiss press hates the VAS team,

No peace in sight.

Imagine all the leaders,

Trying to make it right…

Chorus

You may say I’m a dreamer,

But it’s all a bit surreal,

With no one left to guide us,

It’s hard to heal.

I think this series of messages originates from bitter people who’ve lost their jobs in a process of making them reapply for their own jobs, wait months to hear they’ve not got those jobs and have been replaced by friends of Weese, ex colleagues of Weese, or low ranking has beens who worked for dying recruitment companies in Zurich. People who think media relations is replying on email in bad English with a response that even North Korean Ai could have written better. I am really angry that people question the obvious calamitous skills of the low hanging fruit seeking Mish, scrambling around in the weeds of people’s powerpoints seeking a way to pontificate in a semi illiterate way to people with more degrees than her paltry Mars bar gold award circa 1997. Intelligent people even in the coffee shop in the visitor centre would look upon her musings as no more valuable than an extra biscuit with the coffee that is invariably kept in a pocket and fed to the dog. When she visits Basel she forgets that a lot of the people there have a higher IQ level in their Coop super card points than her.

Ode to Michelle, Who Reimagines with a Heavy Hand

O Michelle, thou visionary bold,

Who dream’st in realms where none but folly treads—

From golden heights, thy judgments hast rolled,

Unmoved by voices, pleading heads.

In halls of Novartis, a tempest raged,

As goodly folk, steadfast and true,

By thy decree, were disengaged,

While the worthiest work bid adieu.

Patient voices, once held dear,

Now silenced by thy sweeping will;

Their murmurs lost, replaced by fear,

As hollow words the void doth fill.

To “reimagine” Corporate Affairs,

To cast away the olden way—

Is progress marked by vacant stares,

As structure crumbles, day by day.

O that thine eyes would clearer see,

That wisdom might thy counsel sway!

Yet here we wait, resigned to thee—

The architect of disarray.
