i thought this was the case - see Roche board - back in Oct - ..... job cuts coming for sure, now the cover is provided - analysts saying this is not a big deal - as usual they do not have a clue of what is going on -
 












Well, the wake-up calls are coming one after the other, aren't they? How many strikes in a row now?

Even Art, Sue, Ian, Hal all said that the super streak a few years ago was completely unusual. We got spoiled and the Swiss have been wringing their hands. But reality does set in. In the real world, drugs and studies fail quite often.

Now that we are starting to see the failures, we may feel new pressures and retrenching in all kinds of things including hiring and boondoggles. Management will move up the "risk" dial which means more uncertainty which means less discretionary spending.

I thought Genentech Reps were "Biotech" reps and docs were opening the door and just letting them walk in. Maybe their reps are poorly trained and no credibility. Looks a little desperate for this type of activity to be happening.

Sounds like a jealous Lilly rep. We like our high end vehicles (Jags, Mercedes, Lexus, BMW) and having a complinace team that works well with commercial. Compliance understands how important sales are at all costs with our wonder drugs. Doctors are opening doors for us all the time.
