It kills me that he thinks we lead and close for patients with T2DM alone and that he just now wants us to expand who we close for NMR usage. Get real. This is a joke. The reps in the field close for standard of care. NOT BY FOCUSSING ON PATIENTS WITH T2DM. Does he really think he’s teaching us something new by asking us to expand. We’ve been doing that!!! The reps who are doing well, making their #’s and have been selling this test for years know how to close for usage. Stop telling us how to message based on T2DM. Go back to pharma. If I lead with patients with diabetes I would corner myself majority of the time and my numbers would go down. AND...enough with IMS targeting. You don’t sell a lab test based on pharma IMS data.

AND...enough with IMS targeting. You don’t sell a lab test based on pharma IMS data.

Only if the guys behind the desks would understand that pharma scripts aren't filled by reference laboratories. And docs who write many medications may not draw much of blood. This ship will sink and its unfortunate because the product does work and save lives.

what a concept if these guys would stop and actually ask those of us who are doing it daily, doing it well, what it takes to sell this test. To actually ask us, how do you do it based on the region. It isn’t the focus on T2DM - that’s a given for risk factors genius. It isn’t IMS targeting. Yet, the problem is, we wouldn’t speak up even if they did ask. It is not what they want to hear; they want their massaging vomited back to them verbatim. I feel sorry for the newer reps who don’t know any better

They did ask and the managers that provided honest feedback on targeting, messaging, and lab partnering are no longer here. When they ask they are only asking to see if you are "on board". To answer honestly would ensure your limited career length with LP

It's not worth it, I prefer to continue receiving my bonus checks, let them think their messaging is working. Tell them what they want to hear, and show them what they want to see on ride alongs. The rest of the time, run your territory like it is your own business

He's clueless, prob think all we should be doing is asking for business on diabetic patients.
If we as a sales force did this, we'd be in worse shape than we are now. What does he think we've been doing year after year, forgetting that patients with diabetes are clearly patients who will benefit from the test?? Does he think he's bringing something new to the table?

Glad someone posted this. Started to worry if I was the only one wondering why this sudden focus. I went through training 2 yrs ago, the patient type we closed for was broad, risk factors and metabolic syndrom. Also type 2 diabetes. A given. Then, this guy gets hired and is all about diabetics, over and over and over for months on end. Hey, what about all the other patient types we’ve been closing for all this time?!? the email on expanding today made me laugh
