I still got a merit increase when I was only here for 4 months out of the year awhile back. It was a lower percent though, I think 2.33%. I just got my annual increase last week, but I think it depends on your department.
Mine was 3% this year and I got above average scores on my review. They discussed potential compensation to combat inflation and the issues of turnover, but I doubt anything will come from that. It was discussed in Q3 of last year and we are still getting "currently ongoing" updates about industry benchmarking.
