Could not agree more! Horrible culture and leadership. VP of sales and marketing is in way over his head and his ego is bigger than the building. He has a memory of an elephant, and if you get on his bad side he will make it his mission to get rid of you. There are 4 sales reps out of 25 that have been there longer than 2 years! Currently there are 10 open territories and 5 sorry souls just started with them. Stay clear unless you are desperate...even then, I would keep looking!

Can't say enough bad things about this place!!!
 






Couldn't agree more with previous post. They expect you to travel all the time and handle a ridiculous amount of call metrics. Management rules through intimidation. Maybe the reason turnover among sales reps is so high is because the VP of Sales and Marketing has an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate employee? It is a toxic and unprofessional environment. If this represents the philosophy of senior Management than no wonder so many sales reps have left for other companies. They constantly have open territories and you can be let go at any time. Just keep looking.

Territories are absolutely massive. Base of $55k. No way on earth. Perhaps 100k w/ bonus. 3 nights/week out. You have to be kidding. This is a job for a 24 yr old. No rep of any sort is taking a job like that. Perhaps a base starting @ 110 worth considering.

I was suckered into accepting a job with these scumbags,

was in a great position too,

the manager C.D. flat out lied during the interview process,

said I could make well over 100k a year, and in the job posting it said "20-30% travel",
oh and when i asked about turnover he said "it's not a problem for us",,

such a lying scumbag!

well guess what, out of only 50 something reps, 1 person made bonus (she quit, lol), and base is 55k,, everyone works for 55k a year and never sees a bonus check,, like ever!

so when i saw reps leaving i asked about it, CD said "oh, she left for health reasons" and " she had personal/marital issues", come to find out, they all left b/c they were fed up and it had nothing to do with personal reasons...

oh and that 20-30% travel is really 50-75% travel, they make you sign an expectations letter saying you will and must do at least 10 overnights a month, meaning leave on Sunday come back Friday evening (a min of 2 weeks a month), but with training and meetings and all the other meaningless crap these jokers make you go through, your easily in hotel rooms 60% of the time...

CD would threaten reps and say things like "they took care of the last rep" (who didn't get their job done)- like they're mafia or something, lol

most tenured rep in the district when i was there last year,, 4 months...

they walk a fine line between complete flat out breaking the law and staying in compliance with state and federal regulation concerning both employment and business in general

you are better off anywhere but here, you will be miserable, your significant other and loved ones will even feel the stress, believe me when i say-i am completely optimistic and stay away from negativity and false hope-

but this thread is accurate, and had i known to search this topic and figure this out before i had interviewed, i would've never taken the offer

Do you really believe any of the childish responses you make to everyone serve any purpose?

You talk as if you are quibbling with kids older than you - like maybe 10 year olds.

No comment I've seen from you has any content or purpose other than to bully. And there's laws about that behavior. And consequences sooner or later. But mostly, it tells everyone of your psychology. You have to pump your own image up because no one else will.

I suggest you talk with the board's counsel and share your behaviors now before your identity gets out. They'll make it quick and painless as they understand how those consequences can affect their job.


ps, No one likes you. Even that person you have sex with doesn't. They're all using you. Just to get what they can while the getting is good. Imagine how life will be when that gravy train ends?

You would not be so angry if you believed that to be true. As you can imagine and much to your dismay, I am quite successful. You however will be doomed to failure until you start owning your performance. The good news is, from where you stand, you literally have no where to go other than up.
