Makes sense, but it would be a a merger of wills and there are some very ignorant, arrogant people in the upper echelons of both companies. They won't give away their slice of pie for their stockholder's benefit, so they will both likely continue to wither. Let's face it, does either company have something another company would want to buy them for? BMS sold all of it's other businesses. What about AZ? In a merger one company is typically dominant. In this case, who would that be and why?

I think something will happen, but I think the likely suitor is........PFIZER! Pfizer is already co-promoting an SNRI with AZ is relationship there (think Bydureon).

Problem is AZ is bleeding dollars from Seroquel generic and Crestor share loss. BMS is not much better.

Either way consolidation is coming.
 




Ok. Gonna give my 2 cents on this one. My prediction: BMS/AZ, not a merger but more like a Pfizer/Wyeth situation. Hope not for those left at BMS, it will not be pretty.
