Probably needed as potential buyers are clearly looking at Pernix financials which is bleeding money each quarter. With 300M in debt and only 30M in cash, they can wait it out and force Pernix to sell company or assets for pennies on the dollars later this year.

Key will be Pernix Q2 sales revenue. If it is better then Q1, there could be hope for a sale sooner. If Q2 sales are worse than Q1, stock price will tumble down even more and cause potential buyers to wait it out until either bankruptcy or pennies on dollar.

Lets hope sales rebound in Q2 and Pernix gets back on its feet. That's the best for all involved. investors, employees and mgmt.
