We believe you, trust us. We have Thomas L. Lyon III who came from tablet about 10 years ago. He turned his back on the pediatric vaccine business because he still thinks there is all this pie in the sky potential for P23 and Zostavax. Meanwhile, GSK has been going in pediatric offices without a Merck rep in sight offering vaccine pricing programs allowing docs to cherry pick while Merck pricing programs force docs to use mostly Merck products under threat of raising Gardasil. Now offices think GSK are the more flexible company and more pediatricians are getting pissed at Merck. Nice job Merck, especially Tom who says Pediatrics isn't growing and just pays the bills. Well Merck pediatric business is declining because you don't spend any time there and you pissed off the customers, all the while bringing in billions in more revenue than P23 and Zostavax. If you haven't convinced pc docs to routinely use Zostavax over the last 10 years, how many more years do you think it will take wannabe professor Tom? Please go leave for academia. They love teachers who have no real business experience and love to promote business theories that don't work in the real world. You are a natural fit. LOL!!!

You aint seen nothing yet. You don't know the bottom until MD takes over. You just wait and see!

We have seen it I am afraid. We have seen Thomas L. Lyon III who barely sold that long get kicked out of offices, had his products banned from a hospital eventually get promoted to management and eventually DCO of Vaccines without any previous experience. He is also one of the few DCO's who never moved to Westpoint in his climb up, he never had to move to maintain his DCO position even though he lives outside his region and has been dinged a couple of times for possible policy violations without any real repercussions. We have a stubborn, untouchable, privileged DCO with still limited vaccine experience, most especially in the public sector, that continues to run off good managers and reps while running his region into the ground. We get it, Merck hired another USHH bust to Vaccines. Take a number, this is standard procedure now.

You can blame Mike Thomas for starting the trend of bringing over pharma losers. MVD has never recovered.

its sad that GSK is kicking our asses now too. MVD was amazing before the pharma filth ruined us.

It doesn't help having useless VKCL'S like S. Swider in Michigan who steals credit from reps consistently, doesn't show up to district meetings or leaves them early and tries to push off hard to see customers onto others. Keep your distance from him.

Tom is losing good reps left and right now because they are tired of busting their humps and never being rewarded for their efforts or get opportunities to apply for account management positions. Instead, Tom is sending the message his region isn't worthy of promotions and they have to do more to please King Tom.

Well Mr. Lyon, it looks like your strategy is backfiring. Your reps and managers have figured out how unreasonable and unfair you are so they are taking their chances elsewhere. Hopefully, Colleen and Jan will realize real soon that the company is better off sending you elsewhere too. You are no leader, you are a destroyer of morale and progress in sales.
