Merck has been secretly and not so secretly trying to reduce salaries for 5+ years, in addition to the hoards of layoffs. Sadly, their CEO in built in the image of Neutron Jack Welsh. Take heed!

Ya, reduced to zero because you are all going to be laid off soon.
Nothing personal, it's the Merck way. Just ask all the former Sherring Plough, Organon, and Idenex employees...almost all gone!

Rare is the rep who will ever come into Merck at 100k.

Sp reps made 60s and 70s and this is what Merck wants. A rep coming in at 90 would rarely ever happen these days.....they are cutting costs and have been for some time. The few high paid reps around rep have big experience and big titles with advanced degree mostly MBAs. many high paid reps have received the exit notice as part of the master plan.....
