Go see for yourself but I doubt most reps even know how. Fact is MRK stock is poised for break out despite your wishes.

Merck stock has been hovering around 38.00 a share for some time now - "ready to break out"?! Really, you are delusional - now, if the stock could "break out" and bridge the 40.00 price.... "break-out" my ass.
BTW FU Merck
You are a replaceable resource. Shut up and go back to dropping off patient Ed and sub sandwiches

The stock will not go down much. There is more upside than downside. This is not because Merck is a great stock. It has more to do with market in general. The street understands that it will cut and slash to keep the dividend high. The real question is if there is better. That answer is yes. Merck is in many index funds that will keep people buying it as they enter the market. Also dividend funds will have a buy-in also.
The stock market will be on a pretty good run for the next 2 years. There is no other place to move money too right now. The bond run is just about gone. It was great while it lasted. That bubble will burst soon. The new economy is about filling a sector with money, then watching it burst. The free floating economy no longer exists. We bail out and suppress issues until they get out of control. The government should just be the watchdog for the people. Unfortunately it tries to control the free market now. All that does is put more air into the bubble so when it bursts it will do more damage. That actually forces the government to bailout companies.
The next bubble will be inflation. It is being suppressed so people can refinance. The CPI-U (our new pension formula) is the biggest joke going. As of right now the CPI-U is down for the year. Really? The only reason is because that number is used for the increases in social security. It does not reflect the real or absolute inflation numbers across the country because of the hundreds of exclusions.
So the answer for Merck stock going up is yes. It will just lag the rest of the market.
I hope this helps.
what was negative about the post? The price target in 41-42 by 24 experts. It’s at 38.55 right now. It should hit its target and make investors happy in the short term. The real question is at what cost. Will it be by cannibalizing from the inside out or growing the company? If you look at the S-10 and compare the AR growth to the DSO (days’ worth of sales owed to the company) , in relationship to earnings what does that tell you? The AR trend is going down and DSO is going up. The only way to keep it flat lined is to slow down is by cutting. If Merck cuts to much to keep investors happy and pay their dividend, how will they grow? I believe we cut R&D for 3 years running. There was nothing negative about my comments. Just facts. You can chart this out yourself. I guess we will have to wait and see. I HOPE that DSO and AR does not intersect. That would be a bad sign. I just don’t see where the long term growth is coming from. It’s very hard to predict growth when a company is consolidating. That is why MOST will cut once and cut deep. It will give the CEO a better vision as to what will be the next steps to grow.
Merck will go up but there is better. Sorry if you though I was negative.
Again I hope this helps.
Isn't that what I wrote in post 10? Also a dumbass like you would compare Merck to google or apple. Totally different. It's not a apples to apples comparison. I am not a CTL or DCO. I am in R&D and the steam of my piss is worth more money than what you make a year. I will dumb down my writing so even you can understand.

I am too old for words like, "poised for a breakout". My slimy financial adviser would use those words to try to con me for more money.
